I do wonder sometimes whether my own girls will have to wear glasses. J-Mom has glasses for night driving, but she really does not need them. I can say though that I am happy to see the variety of glasses that are now available for kids that are out there, as there were definitely not as many when I started my own journey.
In thinking about my own journey I wanted to see whether there were any resources out there for families helping their children transition into glasses. I found the following:

I have one son that already has glasses and another son that is going to have to get them. As you know it can be a difficult transition for a child to make.
Thanks for gathering resources for us parents!
I urge you to try buying glasses online – not only for your child but for yourself as well! The build quality and prescription accuracy is no different than that found in glasses you'd buy locally for many, many times the price.
I recently blogged about our very successful online optics experiences. Hope this helps!
I've had glasses since kindergarten, while they may have been a pain in the you know what growing up… now as an adult I prefer myself with em… makes me look smarter!
