I had the pleasure to be asked to take my family on a vacation to Jamaica to visit the Frankin D. Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. To be honest, we were thrilled, and seeing that we had never been to Jamaica before, nor had we taken a trip to such an exotic location with our kids (we had gone out of the country once on our honeymoon 12 years ago). So we were excited to have the opportunity to go for a week and bask in the sun and see what all the fuss was about!
Along the way our family was also outfitted with the new underwater Stylus Tough camera from Olympus to try on this trip as well as some new sunglasses from The Sunglass Warehouse.
So we were good to go, we still needed to buy an airline ticket and we ended up finding one on Delta. Though the prices were not the cheapest, the times were convenient.
So, to give you some background about the Franklin D. Resort, this resort is a family resort and their claim to fame is the fact that for families, the minute you walk through the door you are assigned a Vacation Nanny that ends up doing whatever you would like with your kids from the times of 9-4:30 PM. This allows the parents to simply it back and relax to say the least.
I was intrigued by the concept of the Vacation Nanny, but to be honest I did not know how well my two girls (Diva-J & Diva-PJ) would react to having someone else watch over them (we would soon find out!).
So I will be sharing my family’s experience over the next few days and you can take what you want from it and see if this resort would be the Ultimate Family Vacation!
