As the name indicates this book examines the rise and lives of the artists of Diamond Rio. While I have never been a HUGE fan of the band, there are definitely some songs that I have liked through the years and reading more about the backgrounds of these artists and what they had to go through to make it to where they are today continues to amaze me.
The band itself does have great harmony and seems from an outsiders perspective to truly love their music and their fans. In reading further into their stopry you will see that this outward appearance is not just an appearance, it is in fact the truth.
One of the things that I found interesting was the beginning of the bans as the Tennessee River Boys and the struggles that they went through to find just the right mix of voices and talents which led to what Diamond Rio has become today.
This book is a must have for the country music fan (as well as Diamond Rio fan), but it is also for those people who enjoy getting inspired by the acts of others and by the perseverance and faith of others. This book will open your eyes to what one group of people can achieve if they work together!
If this book sounds interesting to you, below is a video made by two of the band members about the book itself.
