TRICK OR TREAT SCOOBY-DOO! All New Animated Film!

Everyone’s favorite mystery-solving gang is back! Grab your Scooby Snacks and get ready to go undercover as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! on Digital October 4^th and DVD on October 18^th.In addition to the 72-minute all-new original animated film, the DVD release also includes three bonus classic Scooby-Doo! episodes. Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! will be available to own on Digital for $14.99 SRP (US and Canada) and on DVD for $19.98 SRP ($24.98 in Canada).

Mystery Inc. has cracked the case to top all cases! They’ve tracked down Coco Diablo, the head of the notorious costume crime syndicate that colludes The Black Knight, Space Kook and the Ghost Diver. With Coco and her kitty in prison, Mystery Inc. thinks that they can finally enjoy a break. Wrong! Suddenly, menacing doppelgänger ghosts of the Scooby crew and favorite classic foes show up in Coolsville to threaten Halloween. Now it’s up to the meddling kids – and their unlikely new partner Coco – to unmask the latest scoundrel and save Halloween! For Shaggy and Scooby-Doo, with trick-or-treating on the line – this time it’s personal!

Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! features the familiar voice talents of Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo/Fred Jones, Grey DeLisle as Daphne Blake, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers and Kate Micucci as Velma Dinkley. Cecilia Aranovich (Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog) serves as producer and director from a script written by Mike Ryan (Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog). Sam Register (Looney Tunes Cartoons) serves as executive producer.

Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! will also be available on Cartoon Network and HBO Max during this year’s annual Scoobtober celebration.

My Take on the DVD

My daughters grew up on Scooby Doo and this new series is one that they have just loved! The series is fun and entertaining and the animation is so excellent. You get the best of Mystery Ink and it is great for both kids and adults! In watching this I would say that in my opinion this has been one of the best new Scooby-Doo series’ since the original series. Personally, I love the mature story and themes and the fact that they really broadened the characters to a larger extent than I have seen in years. The series also has a ton of pop culture references throughout the episodes which makes the episodes even more relevant. Overall, this is a great Scooby Doo that any fan will love!

I grew up loving Scooby-Doo and have watched so many of the movies and television shows with my daughters. In actuality, my youngest has been watching Scooby episodes over the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic and lately has been seeing all of the advertisements for the new Scoob! premier.

Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the whole Mystery Inc. Gang are bringing the party to your house this Friday, May 15^th.

My take on the Film

Warner Bros. sent this video to me for free so I could review it. In reviewing it I found that first, in being a Scooby Doo fan you have to change the way you think about the characters and the movie. You will not see Shaggy, Scooby or Fred in this one. Instead you have girl power all the way through the film itself. The cast did a great job and while they were not actors and actresses that I knew completely, I will say that the movie was enjoyable and that there was plenty of mystery and fun throughout the film. By the end of the film you do get to get the mystery solved and no loose ends were left un-turned. As a father of daughters it is always good to see female characters empowered to do more and this film does just that!

The LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Tour is Here!

Warner Bros. Consumer Products, in conjunction with the LEGO Group, is excited to announce the LEGO® Scooby-Doo Mystery Tour taking place at shopping malls across the country from September 19 to October 31! The tour will bring families together for a day of Halloweenelated activities, spooky fun, photos and LEGO building. The tour is in celebration of the new LEGO Scooby-Doo sets and will stop at locations that also have a LEGO store in the mall.

The Scooby-Doo Mystery tour begins at Bridgewater Commons in New Jersey and ends at Glendale Galleria in Los Angeles on Halloween.
