Applebee’s® Neighborhood Grill + Bar is an amazing restaurant that I love to eat at, especially with my family but there are times when going out just with my wife is perfect too! Lately, Applebee’s is winning the holiday cocktail game by offering the new $1 Long Island Iced Tea, better known as the Dollar L.I.T.™, throughout December. This fan-favorite cocktail is made with a delicious new mix of vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec and sweet & sour mix with a splash of cola. The Applebee’s Dollar L.I.T. is available all day at participating Applebee’s restaurants nationwide every day in December – for only a buck!

I had the chance to out out to Applebee’s the other night and try this great drink for myself and let me tell you, for $1, you are getting a great drink that taste’s great and has just the right amount of flavor too.

As you go out to dinner at your local Applebee’s one of the things you have to decide is what to drink. I know when I go out (without the kids) it is nice to be able to try one of the signature cocktails every once in a while. One of the nice things at Applebee’s is that you can pair your drinks with the food you are eating with the help of your server. You also can capitalize on the fact that you can customize your meal easily with 17 sides that can be substituted for any meal that you choose. Some of the amazing sides and “extras” that you can select from include:

Free Meal at Applebee’s for Veterans and Active Duty This Veterans Day!

This Veterans Day (Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017), Applebee’s will again honor veterans and active-duty U.S. military by offering a free meal from a selection of seven entrees at more than 1,800 restaurants nationwide. As one of the first and largest national efforts of its kind, Applebee’s has served more than 8.3 million free meals to veterans and active duty military on Veterans Day since 2008 and expects to serve close to 1 million more this year.

Veterans Day is one of the busiest days of the year at Applebee’s. In actuality, this year marks the tenth consecutive year that Applebee’s has honored America’s veterans and active-duty military; Applebee’s is proud to have served more than 8.3 million free meals since 2008.

All veterans and active-duty military are eligible to receive a free meal at Applebee’s restaurants nationwide from a selection of seven entrees. The special menu this year includes:

Night Night Book Series/Family Night Coming To Local Restaurants! #Giveaway

Rocking Out With Great Food and Music at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston

We had lunch at the Hard Rock Café in Boston. This was the first time that as a family we have visited a Hard Rock Cafe. The girls’ eyes were wide open when they first saw the doors to the Hard Rock Cafe. They thought it was so cool that the doors formed music relatedefigures (and so did I).

We went in and were surrounded by so many amazing music related artifacts. The first thing you see is a whole wall covered in cymbals (that is outside of the jacket worn by Keith Moon from The Who that hangs in the doorway when you arrive). You could spend hours going from place to place and ogling the artifacts if you are a true music aficionado. Alas, the kids were hungry and while I love music, I knew we needed to get down to food.

In receiving a menu I was happy to see that the menu was very wide ranging for both kids and adults. We all made quick selections and the staff were very attentive to the needs that we had. In only a very short time we received the huge portions of food that you get with your order (I mean, look at the size of the cobb salad I had).

While we were waiting for the food I did question our waitress a bit about the history of the Hard Rock Cafe. I found out that the first Hard Rock Cafe was in London and when she said this I realized that this must have been the Hard Rock Cafe that I remember visiting when I was in high school. She mentioned that the first items to ever be donated were guitars from Eric Clapton first and then Pete Townsend said that if Eric Clapton was there he better be too so he donated a guitar too. I found out that nw all of the items that you see in the Hard Rock Café’s around the world are bought by a select few employees at auction (talk about a cool job).

Back to the food, not only do you get a large amount of food but the food that you do get is so good! Each of us ad different items and we left thoroughly stuffed which was good as it was our meal for the day!

I explored the Boston Hard Rock Cafe and found that not only do they have a main dining area, but they also have a special room that is used for concerts and special musicians. Our waitress mentioned that there have had people from Ed Sheeran to other less known artists performing there. Also this room had even more music relics that if you are a music lover, you will truly appreciate.

The Hard Rock Cafe in Boston brings music to life while giving you amazing food too. If you love music and great food and you have never tried the Hard Rock before you should check out this Boston location or any of their locations!

Red Robin Has Food Anyone Can Eat!

I have seen Red Robin restaurants from afar for many years but I have never gone into one in the past. I have no idea why not, probably due to it’s location being a little further away from where we live. Recently I found out that Red Robin has an interactive allergen menu for their guests. This menu allows anyone eating at the restaurant to eat worry free and makes it so that there are no surprises to what you receive when it comes to your table. I tried out the menu myself to see what kind of lactose-free menu items were available. The menu was accessible online from my computer, but I also found that I could read and access it on my phone too. When you get into the menu you can choose which allergens or ingredients to avoid and once selected, the Interactive Allergen Menu builds custom dining options that fit your custom specific needs. Once I used the interactive menu I still had a ton of options available for me to eat and they looked amazing. Having a menu and resource such as this, it makes sense that AllergyEats, the leading guide to allergy-friendly restaurants nationwide – rated by people with food allergies, for people with food allergies has recognized Red Robin as one of the “Most Allergy-Friendly Restaurant Chains,” for the last three years!

Once I had meal items in hand it was time to finally go and try out the food for myself. My family and I decided to head over to Red Robin after a soccer game as it was on that side of town. The restaurant was busy and we had to wait for about 15-20 minutes, but once we got in, we were warmly greeted and brought into to warm inviting atmosphere which is Red Robin.

The menu is very vast and and though I had looked before, my family had not, and they still had no problem finding many items that looked good to them. In fact, they kept saying that it would be hard to choose, and in the end it was.

The service was quick and the wait staff was friendly and made us feel at home.

For me, seeing that Red Robin is the Gourmet Burger Authority, I chose to grab one of their is the Gourmet Burgers, and when I took my first bite I could tell that I made a great choice.

All of the food that we tried at Red Robin was delicious. The drinks were bottomless and the service top-notch. All of this being said, I know that this will not be the only time that my family will be visiting this great restaurant!

So if you have never visited Red Robin, you should. Also, if you suffer from any food allergies, let that not stop you from finding great food at a great restaurant like Red Robin. Applebee’s ( @Applebees ) = Great Food At A Great Price

I have been a fan of Applebee’s for some time, but I had not been there recently. I was lucky enough recently to be asked to go and try out their new menu and specifically bring my family! When I got to the restaurant I have to say that I was really impressed to find that the menu had been given a complete overhaul. You not only could get some of the traditional favorites, but they now are offering all-you-can-eat ribs as well as burgers that are actually infused with some delicious things. I mean there’s an All-In Burger that will help you celebrate your love for everything bacon – the Triple Bacon Burger. ?They actually sear bacon right into their fresh (never frozen) ground beef, place two strips of crispy bacon on top and spread a BBQ bacon ranch on the bottom bun – you truly get bacon in every bite!

I chose to try out the all-you-can-eat ribs as I am a sucker for good ribs. There were a number of flavors and the best part to this deal is that every time that they bring you new ribs you can get a new flavor and try them all of you like. The ribs were flavorful and were filled with a ton of meat.

My kids loved their kids menu and I was impressed with the price and the amount of food that they got, and of course they wanted to trade up and get an oreo milkshake for dinner and did I relent, why yes I did!

J-Mom got a sandwich that she said was simply divine. What more can you ask for but a happy family spending time together over a great meal at a great price!

The atmosphere in Applebee’s is also fun. Laid back and definitely connected to sports, you can relax, watch a game and eat some great food, while you enjoy your evening out, or at least that was what we did.
