Being a father I know that I need to make healthy choices to live a long life for my wife and kids. For me though this is not always an easy task, nor an easy thing to keep up. I struggle with things like continuing a workout routine and go through spurts where I do work out and then spurts where I simply cannot find my motivation. I know that I am not alone in this, but it is something that as a man and as a father that I struggle with daily.
My one positive thing is that I do tend to try and eat healthily (for the most part). Many times J-Mom even says that I eat too much rabbit food. That for me though is not enough to maintain the long term health that I know that I want to achieve, and I know that I need to make changes that will help me to take the right steps toward achieving this. The hard part – sticking to it. This is where I wish that I had someone locally that I know that would hold me accountable, would work out with me etc… but I have not found this yet, though I am not giving up though.
Lately I have started to drink more water but also to drink fresh fruit smoothies and combining these with vegetables too to try and gain the most benefit from them. I have heard good things too about juicing, but I have yet to be able to purchase a juicer that will assist me in this. In the future, I am deeply thinking about moving in this direction, but am still doing research on this to be able to move forward try this out.
All-in-all, for me I really want and to continue working to live a healthy life, for myself and for my family. I know that I have started moving in the right direction, but there are many additional things that I need to do to meet my end goals.
What have you all done to stick with the goals that you have set for yourself?
