The game that launched the Mario & Luigi series returns looking better than ever before. In this renewed classic, Mario and Luigi journey to the Beanbean Kingdom with Bowser to restore Princess Peach’s voice. Control Mario and Luigi simultaneously, making use of their unique Bros. Moves to solve puzzles and emerge victorious in action-packed battles. Pay heed to the enemy’s patterns and time your reactions right to land satisfying counterblows. Included in this remake is the Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser mode, which tells the story of the game from the perspective of Bowser’s minions. Recruit characters to grow your own Minion army as you fight to locate your missing leader!

Mario and Luigi have access to different techniques, known as Bros. Moves, necessary for solving puzzles on their adventure. Switch between the two characters at will to pave your way and progress through new areas.

Time your button presses to skillfully dodge enemy blows, land devastating counters, and inflict increased damage in battle. Utilize Bros. Attacks that dish out massive damage!

In the brand new mode titled Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser, become the unlikely hero, Captain Goomba. Journey together with ShyGuy, Boo and other familiar Baddies.

The Minion Quest storyline takes place during Mario & Luigi’s classic adventure. Find out what really transpired behind-the-scenes!

Compatible with amiibo figures from the Super Mario series, including Mario and Luigi amiibo figures. Also coming soon are brand new Goomba and Koopa Troopa amiibo. The Goomba, Koopa Troopa and Boo amiibo figures will each have read/write compatibility. Amiibo figures sold separately.

My Take on the Game

My dad told me about playing this game when he was a kid but I never played the original Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga on Game Boy Advance, but I will say that I am always looking for a great game and Mario & Luigi have always been my favorite characters and games over the years. I was excited to try out this new game because of this too. The game was a ton of fun, mixing in humor, great characters, and a fun plot as well. The battle system and mechanics in the game were excellent, and the overall game felt fresh and new.

In playing the game I found that Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga had a great fighting system with some great battles too. I have found that in this game Mario & Luigi simply keeps your characters active during a scuffle, ensuring that there’s never a dull moment.

You can work together as a team or fight individually. There are so many different battles that you can have and some of the bosses do take some time and effort to vanquish. The game is well paced and the addition of upgrades which allow you to become more powerful helps you to become stronger within the battles that you are in!

In the end, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga is a great new game. I had a blast playing this and if you are a fan of great gaming and of Mario and Luigi, look no further than this fun game!

Game Review – Miitopia for Nintendo 3DS

About the Game

In the colorful world of Miitopia, sinister happenings are afoot. The Dark Lord has been stealing the faces of the world’s populace and placing the visages on its horde of minions. This wave of terror has left many eyeless, mouthless, noseless Mii-people in its wake. A mysterious traveler–played either by your personal Mii or another Mii living on your 3DS that you select–stumbles into a city during one of the Dark Lord’s attacks and is called upon by a higher power to put a stop to the face-taking madness.

Our Take on the Game

The below was written by my daughter who is a kid reviewer or Nintendo

As a Nintendo Kid Reviewer I loved the idea of making a fantasy world filled with Miis. I knew this was inspired by Tomodachi Life, but one thing that stood out with this were the relationships that I could build with other Mii characters. As you play the game you and your party members can hang out together at inns, travel to new locations, and fight at each others’ side, and by doing this together this will raise and lower the affinity they have for each other.

The events and these moments have funny cinematics and dialogue as characters talk, argue, train, and help each other out in combat. The scenes are a bit funny and random but made Miitopia fun.

As your Miis come into the world, you can assign them jobs for combat. You can have them be Warriors, Clerics, and Thieves. However, what I liked too was that they could also be a Pop Star, Chef, or even a Cat. You get to have control and assign a personality type, such as Cool, Stubborn, or Airhead, that effects the characters in a number of ways. I found some differences between the types as I had one Cool character that seemed to dodge enemy attacks more frequently, while another Mii that was a Stubborn one can sometimes take extra turns.

You get to control the main character and the rest of the Mii characters are controlled by the computer. I wish that I, or my friends could control other Mii characters, but maybe something like this will come in the future.

I also wish that I could explore the game a bit more. Don’t get me wrong, you do get to explore quite a bit, but it would have been cool to also be able to explore the rooms and areas a bit more.

In the end I liked Miitopia. After you play it for a few hours you do start to get some repetition that starts to come in, but I loved the Mii characters and the environments that you get to be a part of. If you love Miis, I think you will love this game too!

New Nintendo Games Available Now!

There are some new games from Nintendo ! Enter Mario & Luigi Dream Team and Kirby Triple Deluxe. These were both awesome games that we got to try out. Below is some more information and our thoughts on both games!

Disney Art Academy Will Teach You The Secrets of Disney artists!

Disney Art Academy

Are you an artist or do you have someone in your family that is? Are you someone that loves the art of Disney? Do you love using the Nintendo 3DS? If you answered yes to any or all of these you will love the new Disney Art Academy.

In the Disney Art Academy you have the ability to learn to draw some of your favorite Disney and Pixar characters but beyond the academy itself one you learn to draw the characters you do have the ability to go beyond the learning to a free drawing area where you can really explore and make your learning real.

If you follow the steps of the academy you will learn a lot and you can even save pictures of the art that you create.

My daughters enjoyed trying this out and my oldest even made a video of her thoughts on it that you can find below!

All-in-all this is a great addition for the Nintendo 3DS and I am so glad that I and my gils have had the chance to better hone our own Disney artistic abilities!

My daughter and I have been having a blast playing the new Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympic Games for Nintendo 3DS and you will too!

In the game all of your favorite Mario & Sonic characters are ready to join the fun in Rio de Janeiro, host of the Olympic Games in 2016. Then you can take the rivalry on the road with this portable collection of supercharged events like Soccer, Table Tennis, or test your skills in a challenging game of Golf.

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam – The Perfect Valentines Day Gift

While it is almost Valentines Day, it is not too late to pick up something fun for you or for the kids. The last few weeks my dad and I had the chance to try out the new Nintendo game, Mario & Luigi Paper Jam, and my sister and I have loved it!

About the Game

When Luigi accidentally opens a mysterious book hidden away in Peach’s Castle, he gets more than he bargained for when characters from the Paper Mario universe spill out of the pages and start running amok. Players must take control of the terrific trio of Mario, Luigi and Paper Mario to defeat Bowser and Paper Bowser and bring the Paper Mario characters back to their original world.

Game Review – Yo-Kai Watch for Nintendo 3DS

About the Game

centers on a boy who gets a special watch that lets him befriend and help mischievous Yo-kai* and later summon them to fight other Yo-kai. Players can overcome challenges and help various characters solve everyday problems with the help of Yo-kai friends. These eccentric Yo-kai resemble anything from inanimate objects to mythical creatures.

My Daughters’ Take on the Game

This game was a lot of fun! I loved being able to go from place to place trying to catch the monsters that were causing so much craziness in this game. I used to play the Pokemon game, and while some of my friends told me that this game was similar, I didn’t see it.

I liked that I could pick who I wanted to be. It was also cool to be able to be a detective/monster-hunter. The monsters/spirits are not always easy to find, but it was still a ton of fun to be able to find them.

I liked the yokai the best, as they could talk and it made them real and interesting too. I liked to hear their stories and see what was behind them as characters.

If you have never played this, you get to go on a number of missions and though they are not very long, they were still a ton of fun!

The game went a lot longer than I first thought too, as there were a ton of Yokai that could be “captured” in the game. Well, I guess you are not really capturing them, you are asking the Yokai to help you.

In the end though I really liked and I think you will too!

Jurassic World Now Available on Nintendo 3DS

I had the pleasure to try out the new LEGO Jurassic World for Nintendo 3DS over the last few weeks and I have to say that I have loved it. As someone who enjoyed the film, and someone that has always been impressed with the LEGO brand and their video games, this definitely met my standards.

Don’t just take my word for it though, listen to my daughters words below for another testimony too!

The game offers you great graphics and storyline. There were a few levels that were a bit more difficult for my daughter but we worked through these and a great time doing it together.

What was fun with this was that in LEGO Jurassic World you get the first videogame where you can relive your favorite moments from the epic storylines of all four films in the Jurassic Park franchise.

You even have the ability to create your own dinosaurs by collecting amber. That on top of having
the ability to play as the dinosaurs and even choosing from 20 different dinosaurs you can see that you have a bit of flexibility in this game too.

The game was a ton of fun for the whole family!
