During our week in Florida, GMC was willing to give our family a great new 2015 GMC Yukon that we were able to use for the week. This Yukon was completely loaded with every amenity conceived and was definitely a very luxurious car to be able to drive too. I was very impressed with how quiet the car was and how well the vehicle handled. The Yukon had a ton of horsepower and I could tell that if I ever needed to be able to tow anything, this vehicle would have the power to do it with no problems whatsoever.
One of the amenities that was nice in Florida was the air conditioned seats. When you are in a warm State like Florida, cars get warm sitting outside, so it was definitely worth having this, especially with the leather seats that this had.
The price point of the car was right about $65,000, which for my family is on the high end, but with everything that it provides, I can see why it had such a price tag. The Yukon provided our family with total comfort and the kids loved it. My eldest, Diva-J actually said that this vehicle was her dream car and gave it a hug before we turned it back in, that’s high praise from a 9,5 year old!
I too have to give the vehicle high praise as it surpassed my expectations and with all of the additional safety features loaded into this vehicle, I would have no qualms having my family in this, as I would know that they were as safe as a vehicle would let them be. One of the safety features I was surprised about was the warning system that is set into the system. If there is something of danger (something In your blind spot, if you wander from your lane, etc, you get warned by a vibration in the driver seat. This at first surprised me, but in the end I was happy with the added safety. Also, the back-up camera not only gave you visibility, but a sensor on your dash gave you the ability to have a sensor on 3 sides behind you, allowing you to better know what was behind you and how much room you actually have. Thus, there were three bars that lit up based on the three sides of the car and as you got closer the lights would start to light up bar by bar until you hit red, which tells you to STOP. I have never seem an indicator system like this before, but on a large vehicle like this, it was a necessity!
All-in-all, this was a great large vehicle that had great comfort, a quiet ride and amenities that you too will love. If you have not driven a Yukon lately, you will want to try this out for yourself! —————————————- New to the Divadom or to Dad of Divas Reviews? Please Subscribe to my RSS Feed!
