A Guide to Driving Safely with Children in the Car

April 1, 2020 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

Even for the best drivers in the world, there is one element that can cause their expertise and poise to quickly disappear: a car full of excitable children!

While it can be fun to reflect on, it’s the opposite when you’re on the road and trying to get to your destination as safely as possible. Kids can throw in a wide range of distractions, from demanding something to eat to trying to unlock their passenger door, and these can result in a loss of focus.

Thankfully, there are a number of tips you can implement to help with keeping your cool and avoiding any accidents. Here is a quick guide on driving safely with children in the car.

Play a game

If you can find a game that promotes quiet behavior and keeps children engaged, you have discovered a gold mine.

One option in that regard is to go with a classic game of ‘I Spy.’ It’s creative, fun, and children of all ages can get involved. Another option could be to introduce a drawing game, where the kids depict all the sights they see during the journey.

Keep them occupied

In this day and age, traditional games might struggle to keep their attention – particularly older children. This is where the likes of tablets and smartphones come in handy. With these portable devices, you can keep kids – both young and older – occupied for hours.

To maximize the effectiveness of tablets/smartphones, ensure they are loaded up with plenty of games to play, reading apps, and videos to watch. Also, remember to supply them with headphones, as the music and sounds from these devices can cause as much distraction as the kids themselves.

Stick to the rules of the road

Above all else, you have to maintain composure and stick with the rules of the road. It’s particularly important you don’t follow any cars too closely. It only takes a split second for you to lose focus and end up crashing into the vehicle in front.

On the other hand, you might be involved in an accident due to no fault of your own. As an example, someone could perform an improper lane change and end up hitting your car. In this case, it’s vital you have the right support. For instance, FLT Law is an expert personal injury practice that deals with improper lane change accident cases, along with many other vehicle-related incidents.

Getting the right representation could be the key to ensuring you’re not faced with any costly bills that impact the future of both you and your children.

Plan accordingly

If you’re going on a long trip, it’s essential you organize a strong plan for the journey. Along with the previous points, consider the following:

  • Bring plenty of snacks and drinks. This will limit their insistence to stop at any restaurants and fast food joints you come across on the road
  • Allow for extra stops, giving them a chance to blow off steam and enjoy a change of scenery
  • If possible, have an extra adult in the car to keep them engaged

Estate or Hatchback? Four of the Best Contenders For a Family Car

September 10, 2019 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

Buying the perfect car for your family is a tall order. Unlike choosing a car for yourself, you need to take varied (and sometimes contradictory) priorities into account. From the school run, to your next family vacation, is there a car out there that can tick all your boxes?

To help you make your comparisons, here’s a roundup of the most popular family car body types, and their pros and cons.

Hatchbacks

A hatchback is a vehicle that has a boot that spans the full width of the car. The trunk is hinged at the roof of the car, and flips upwards to allow you to access to the trunk. Technically, the boot lid is considered one of the car’s doors, which takes the tally of doors up to either three or five.

The wide-opening lid of the trunk will enable ease of access for unloading the kids’ school bags, your grocery shopping, a child stroller, or the dog. The seats at the back can usually be folded down for extra packing space when needed. Whether you need to fit a couple of skis or your teenager’s Ikea furniture when they move off to college, you’ll be amazed by how much you can cram into a hatchback with the seats folded flat.

Hatchbacks come in all shapes and sizes. Some top sellers include the Ford Fiesta, the Ford Focus, and the Ford Mondeo. These three vehicles range in size from small to large, making the Ford Mondeo both a popular choice in general, and an excellent choice for a family.

Estates

If space matters to your family, you might consider buying an estate. Essentially, an estate gives you the versatility of a hatchback with the additional trunk space allowed by an extended body. Some models provide the possibility of extra space for additional passengers, too.

Extra storage means the car is super practical for day-to-day life, especially if you have a few kids. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that because estates are longer than other models, your family car might be a little tricky to maneuver. This may not be an issue for you, but if you have teenagers who will be learning to drive soon, an estate might pose challenges for learner drivers. (On the other hand, maybe teaching your teen to drive in a difficult-to-park car is the best way to ensure that they develop excellent parking skills!)

SUV

If you value style on top of space concerns, you might like the sound of a super-trendy SUV. You have the choice of either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, so if you’re the kind of family that is just as at home on the dirt track as the strip to the mall, the SUV could be for you. Whether you’re canoeing or heading out for a weekend of camping, there isn’t much that you could throw at an SUV that it could not handle. These much sought after cars sit slightly higher up on the road, making it easier for you to see, and providing extra space in the back seat for kids, grandparents, dogs, and other passengers!

You’ll have a few size options to choose from. The more compact SUVs such as the Citroën C3 Aircross—popular for its smooth feel and elegant design—or if you need something bigger, you can go all the way up to a 7 seater, like a Volvo XC90. Other well-regarded options are the Volkswagen Tiguan, the Nissan X-Trail, and the Mercedes GLS-Class.

Buy Two Vehicles

Yes. That’s right: sometimes there is no single perfect family car. Especially if you are a two-car family anyway, it can make a lot of sense to see those two vehicles as two separate opportunities to meet different, yet important, requirements for your family vehicle. For example, if school economy is crucial for your school run, but you only have two kids, a hatchback could be the perfect run-around, allowing you to zip through traffic, grab that tight parking space at the grocery store, and saving you money on fuel. Running a fuel-efficient car might enable you to invest in a second vehicle that is purely for leisure. Whether you spend that extra budget on the best mattress for an rv or a roof-rack and off-road tyres for your 4X4, it can be freeing not to demand that your family car be everything in one.

Whether you have one child or five—not to mention pets—finding the perfect family car can be a challenge. This roundup of the most popular family vehicles should help you narrow down your options and work out which body-type might work best for you.

What To Do If A Family Member Gets Into A Car Accident

August 30, 2019 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

What To Do If A Family Member Gets Into A Car Accident

For anyone, hearing that their family member has been in a car accident can be a traumatizing experience. It’s important to understand the best way to deal with such news, so you can be there for your family member and support them in the best way possible. It won’t be solved overnight, and may require a fair amount of time to sort out.

Here is a step-by-step guide on what to do if your family member gets into a car accident.

Stay calm and collected

Both you and your family member should stay calm and collected. Focus on your breathing, and get it back on track by taking deep breaths in and out.

Once you are more level headed, think about what just happened. If your family member is calling you and letting you know that they were in an accident, things could always be worse. You’ve heard about collisions where people wound up in comas, or worse, and your loved ones are speaking to you on the phone.

Check for injuries

The chances are that you will be driving to the scene of the accident as soon as you receive the phone call. Once you arrive, you should check for any apparent injuries.

Even if the accident was minor and you don’t notice anything right away, you should still visit your doctor for a check-up after the fact, as an extra safety measure.

Take action and contact the right authorities

The police should be contacted right away when you arrive at the scene of the car accident. They can draft a legal report about what happened, and your family member will need this when they are sending a claim to their insurance company.

Your loved ones should also use this opportunity to get the contact information and vehicle registration details from the other party and contact a car accident lawyer.

Talk to your family member about the accident

An accident of any form can also cause people trauma, and you must demonstrate to your family member that you are there for them during this time. Even if they don’t show it, they are likely still in shock over what happened.

Communication between family members can reduce stress and increase happiness. You will even walk away from this situation having formed stronger bonds with one another.

Contact a lawyer

If your loved one became severely injured as a result of an accident that wasn’t their fault, and they now have to pay hefty hospital bills, it’s time to contact a lawyer. A lawyer can ensure you get the appropriate compensation for your injuries.

Your bank account shouldn’t have to suffer, and you shouldn’t go into debt because of a car accident that wasn’t your family’s fault.

No one wants to be in a car accident, but it may happen to you or someone you know at one point in your lifespan. The key is to be adequately prepared when you are faced with this situation.

How a Teenager Should Talk to Their Dads About Cars

September 10, 2018 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

How Teenagers Should Talk to Their Dads About Cars

The dynamics of a conversation between a father and his teenage son or daughter have significantly changed. One of the reasons is that it is simply hard to even focus. Parents have to compete with phones and screens and other distractions.

Among the conversations that dads need to have with their teen children is about cars or about driving. Apart from the technical aspects, the most important subject of car conversation with teens is responsibility. If you are a teenager or a young adult who would like to drive his or her own vehicle, it is important that you ask the right questions and the right intentions. This shows you are ready and that you understand what you are getting into.

Are you ready to take the big leap? Your dads are the perfect go-to guys. Here are things you need to find out, and why.

Is it important that I know about cars and driving?

Driving is a life skill. It is one of those things that can get you places, literally and figuratively. It is of course not mandatory, but it is always a plus.

You want to have the right intention for even asking about cars or driving. Asking why it is important or necessary is a good conversation starter. From here, lead the discussion to dependence. Those who are not skilled and trained to drive need to depend on other people’s time, availability or resources. Talk about flexibility, too, and how driving can give you more options in terms of managing your time, getting yourself from point A to point B, and so on.

Can I handle it?

How Teenagers Should Talk to Their Dads About Cars

Admit it: your dad’s approval matters to you. If he trusts that you can handle a wheel, you will be able to handle a wheel.

This is important to be part of your conversation because this shows that you value your dad’s opinion. And the truth is that this is one of the most important questions you’ll have to ask yourself before taking the driver’s seat. You need to be able to convince yourself that you can handle it, and your dad’s assurance and approval will help boost your confidence.

How tough is the financial responsibility?

You will most likely not pay for your car, and you’ll probably drive the family car anyway. But this does not mean you should completely excuse yourself from all the financial responsibility.

This is important in engaging your dad on the conversation on cars because it shows that you are willing to shoulder some responsibility and make sacrifices in exchange for the convenience. This includes shouldering parking expenses or fuel costs.

How tough is the maintenance?

How Teenagers Should Talk to Their Dads About Cars

There’s more to car maintenance that just having it washed regularly. No car conversation between  teens and their dads should go without the cost of maintenance, not just monetary but also time and effort.

Some of the basic questions regarding maintenance that any teen should ask are: how often do you need to perform a tune-up? When do you change tires? What is the lifespan of a car battery? What’s an air filter and how often does it need to be replaced? How do maintain the car’s paint? Does waxing and washing too often make it lose its original shine?

Dads will have a ready answer to everything. He is also most likely to provide you with the cost and the scenarios you are likely to encounter if you don’t know a thing about proper preventive maintenance.

What do I need to do before driving off?

How Teenagers Should Talk to Their Dads About Cars

A teenager can be very excited, and sometimes reckless, about cars. The moment they get behind the wheel, they step on the gas and drive off. Such act demonstrates carelessness and irresponsibility.

On the other hand, if you ask about essential car tips, specifically on the drill before driving off, it shows some semblance of being responsible, accountable, and in control.

Your basic driver checklist should include these questions: Have you inspected the vehicle? Is your tire pressure okay? Inside the vehicle, are you alert, tired or feeling sleepy? Are you buckled up? Are your rear and side mirrors aligned to your vision? Are your doors locked? Do you know where you are going? If not, set up your navigational app first. Are you capable? Are you calm or emotionally stressed? These questions are important because they basically show your regard for your own safety and everyone else’s.

What if I get a ticket?

Getting a ticket can be very intimidating to a teenager who is a first-time drivers. What are you supposed to do? This is also a good conversation starter with your dad because it shows that you are responsible, that you want to do things right, and that you have high regard for the law. It also teaches you about accountability in so many ways.

A privilege and a responsibility

This should be the core of every car conversation with a teenager — your dad knows it, and you know it. Having a car or a license is not a right; it is a privilege given to you by your government and your parents, if you are still under their guidance. This privilege comes with a great deal of responsibility. If you are behind the wheel, safety should be your top priority. You owe it to yourself, other motorists, and pedestrians.

A conversation about cars or driving is one that is bound to take place, and one that parents, especially dads, prepare themselves for. A teenager or a young adult who wants to take this leap are blessed to have dads who will walk them through the basics, as well as support them along the way. Ask the right questions, and have the right intentions.

Top Ways to Breathe New Life Into Your Old Car

September 1, 2018 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

Top Ways to Breathe New Life Into Your Old Car

Everyone loves to be able to go out and buy a new car after they have clocked up a few thousand miles, however, for most of us, financially this is not realistic and so we need to come up with other ways to improve our current ride. Here, I am taking you through some of our top ways to breathe new life into your old car and save yourself a tonne of cash along the way.

New Tyres

One of the easiest ways that you can breathe some new life into your old car is to get a new set of tyres for it. While you may be thinking that this type of investment is a little boring, if you don’t have a good grip from top quality rubber then all other power and performance upgrades will go to waste! So, make sure you start off by firsts getting yourself a new set of tyres.

New Spark Plugs

When you are improving your car, many people tend to overlook getting spark plugs, but this is a mistake. New spark plugs are affordable and can make a big difference. The higher quality the spark plug is, the better your combustion will be. This then means that you can look forward to more power and better fuel economy.

Performance Exhaust

If you are driving an older car, it will most likely be a cheaper exhaust system in place, so it is a good idea to look at changing this for a performance exhaust as this can free some of the power in your engine. This will allow for a quicker path for exhaust gases to escape from, allowing your engine to breathe better and give you more power.

Engine Control Unit Flash

Did you know that many manufacturers program the engine control unit parameters to below the car’s capability? They do this for it to act as a safety net, but if you reprogramme it you can unlock lots of engine performance and even better gas mileage.

Install a Cold Air Intake

If you want to make your car run better, then you will need to make sure that it can really breathe. This is where the cold air intake comes in! This device will free up the air flow to your engine but not only that, it will also feed the cooler more condensed air and this is exactly what your engine loves!

Install New Bushings

Installing new bushings is not as easy a process, but it is definitely well worth the extra time and effort! If you are unfamiliar with what bushings are, they can be found between the suspension and frame and the engine and chassis of your car. These rubber bushings are designed to help kill the vibrations in your car, but in older cars they can tend to wear out and crack over time. We would recommend that you opt for polyurethane bushings as these can last a whole lot longer than standard rubber bushings and they will also do a great job of quelling vibrations and minimising weight transfer.

How to Prepare Your Car for a Long Road Trip

August 17, 2018 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

Are you planning a road trip this summer? Will you be taking your own car? If your car is used mostly for short trips, you need to pay extra attention to a few certain things. Before you hit the road, read the following tips on how to prepare your car for a long journey. It covers some of the basics you can check yourself. For more major items such as the brakes and suspension, you’ll need to have them inspected by a trustworthy mechanic in a garage. Give yourself plenty of time for all the checks, because you may need to have some things done. Ask in your local garage whether they offer a maintenance package that includes oil change, tire rotation, and mechanical inspection. That way you’ve got everything covered. Long journeys in the car can be very tedious, especially if you’re traveling with young children. However, breaking down or having problems with your car will make the journey even more tiresome. Make sure you do your pre-flight checks, and you’ll be able to drive away feeling secure in the knowledge that your vehicle is safe.

Make Sure You’ve Got the Car Owner’s Manual

Do you carry your car owner’s manual with you wherever you go, or is it something you keep filed safely at home? It’s a good idea to keep it in the glove box, in case you need to refer to it on your journey. In it will be useful information such as how to change a flat tire, where the jack is, how to top up the engine oil and any other fluids. There will also be specifications that may come in handy should you break down. If you haven’t got one, it’s easy to download one online.

Checks to Make Under the Hood

There are a number of different checks you can make at home, without having to pay at the garage. The first thing to do is check the engine oil. This should be something you check on a regular basis anyway. However, there’s nothing wrong with double checking before you make a long journey. Park your car where it is level and allow the engine to warm up a little. Stop the engine and then wait a few minutes for the oil to drain. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean before inserting it fully and then pulling it out again. The ideal level will be close to the full mark on the dipstick. While you’re checking the level, you can also look at the color of the oil. If it’s looking rather black, you need to consider changing it.

Your transmission fluid can also be checked in the same way. If the color of the fluid is rather dark, rather than the red or pinkish color, it is when it’s fresh, you should change it.

Check the car’s battery for any leaks, cracks or damage. If you see any, it should be replaced. The terminals should be clean and not corroded. They should also be done up tight.

The air filter in your car is something that gets replaced regularly, but it’s a good idea to check it before a road trip. If your air filter is dirty, it will result in a lack of power. There will be instructions in your owner’s manual on how to change it, or you can take it to a garage.

Other items to check under the hood include:

  • Brake fluid levels
  • Power steering fluid
  • Windshield washer fluid
  • Leaks
  • Loose clamps
  • Kinked hoses

Check the Lights and Other Electrical Equipment

You might not be planning to drive at night, but you do need to make sure all the drive lights are working, as well as the stop and turn lights. Check the horn, wipers, heater and air conditioner.

If you haven’t had your air conditioning cleaned for a while, you might need to change the cabin air filter. These can get clogged over time and will restrict the air flow to the cabin of the car.

If your windshield wipers aren’t cleaning the windshield properly, replace the rubbers. They don’t cost very much and can be found at any local parts department.

In your owner’s manual will be the recommended tire pressures for your car. Make sure yours are correct because driving on underinflated tires will affect the fuel consumption of your car.

Checks to Make on the Morning of Your Road Trip

One important thing to do before you set off on the highway is to clean your windscreen. You do it like this. You may have already checked things such as the lights, fluid levels, tires, and wipers, but spending just a few minutes before you hit the road will be worth it. It’s important your stop lights, and drive lights are working, and your windshield wipers are in working order. You never know when you’ll need them. Walk around the outside of your car and check the tires, including the tread. Look for bald spots and whether any canvas has worn through.

Don’t Forget About Insurance Cover

This may seem like a silly thing to check, but are you certain you’re covered for a long road trip? Is there still enough time left on the cover for your return trip? Driving on the highway without the correct level of cover is not the most sensible thing to do. What if you have an accident? What if you’re pulled over by a law officer? If you’re going to be driving for days on end, you might want to think about travel insurance to cover any valuable possessions you’re taking with you. Good travel insurance cover will also include trip cancellation, interruption, travel delays and travel accident. Returning your vehicle to your home if you’re hospitalized or injured can also be included.

Taking the above precautions will reduce the chance of something going wrong and ruining your journey. There’s no way you can be 100% certain nothing will happen. However, taking a few simple steps and making sure your car is in good working order will mean your road trip will be one that creates good memories rather than bad.

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

While taking a recent trip to Walt Disney World I had the chance to drive the new 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. This vehicle was a great vehicle that had the perfect amount of room for my family of four and was decked out with the safety and features that I would want in a vehicle today!

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, is a vehicle that I had not driven before, but I have to say that I was impressed. Being on a vacation, I wanted to make sure that I was driving a vehicle that would get great gas mileage and this vehicle fit that bill well. With an average miles per gallon of 25 and being able to get 23 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway I could definitely save money and time on not needing to get gas very often and in the week that I was driving this vehicle I did not need to fill up at all!

I also loved the 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty that the vehicle comes with that covers the powertrain as well as a number of other limited warranties that help to cover you for so much!

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a smaller SUV but it had enough room for everything that we brought with us on our vacation.

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport also, had a ton of safety features that came with the vehicle that made my family and I feel completely safe within the vehicle itself. Tons of airbags throughout the vehicle, lane departure warnings, and more all made us feel that the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport had us covered!

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

The kids loved the full moon roof on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Especially being on vacation in a warm weather climate, having something that allows you to bring in some of the beauty of the State and the sunshine after a long winter, it brought a lot of smiles to my kids’ faces!

2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Best of all was the price. At only $29,110, the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport gives you a ton of features for a very reasonable price. As someone that is cost-conscious, it is important to make sure that I can get what I need in a car that will not break the bank and this one does just that!

5 Tips To Getting Ready For A Road Trip & Being Green Too! #EarthDayDriveAway

March 21, 2018 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

5 Tips To Getting Ready For A Road Trip & Being Green Too!“This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #EarthDayDriveAway #CollectiveBias”

We have some road trips that are coming up soon for spring break and also over the summer. Anytime that my family decides to go on a road trip there are specific things that I tend to do to be able to make sure that everything is ready. Not only do we have to get the family ready, packing everything that we need and making sure that we bring everything that is needed so we don’t have to go and buy things while we are traveling. On top of this though I also make sure that my car is in tip-top shape so that we don’t have any unforeseen breakdowns that could be avoided. As a part of getting my car ready, I do want to do things that will sustain my car and the environment as these are both important to me too.

Below you will see 5 tips that I want to share with all of you in regards to getting ready for a road trip. I hope that they help you as you plan your next road trip.

Walmart Auto Center Walmart Auto Center

1.Bring your car in for a tune-up

Make sure that your car is in the grass shaped that it can be. If you have failed to have a tune-up on your car you may be setting your subject up for a break down along your trip. By going to a store like Walmart that offers full service tune ups while you shop you can get a lot done and take advantage of the time you have. You also can save a lot of money as in looking around I find that their prices are one of the most competitive ones in my area that I’ve ever seen. You also can spend a little more money by asking for a product Mobil 1™ motor oil which offers a full synthetic product that will safeguard your car for up to a year. By spending a little bit more for all your like this you can rest assured that your vehicle will be safeguarded throughout the year.
Mobil 1™ motor oil
As I got ready for my road trip I took my car into my local Walmart Auto Care Center for an oil change and I did exactly what I suggested. Before I arrived I did of researching online using the Oil Selector Tool which was a free resource. In using this, I received a recommendation to try out the synthetic Mobil 1™ motor oil as I found that it will cover my car for up to a year! As I was walking around Walmart I also noticed that you also can purchase Mobil 1™ motor oil on the shelf. Why did I spend the extra money for this product? For me, Mobil 1™ synthetic oil made sense. Not only does it protect my engine, it also decreases my carbon footprint by making me have fewer oil changes which reduces oil consumption and less waste oil which is something I want to do! With this oil, it offers a Mobil 1™ Annual Protection which will prevent or reduce enough CO2 emissions to fill the Empire State Building more than 5,000 times* and even reduces CO2 emissions. The CO2 emissions reduction would be equivalent to taking more than 500,000 cars off the road*
*Estimates made based on aggregation of the United States’ average car and motor oil statistics
 Only pack what you need
2. Only Pack What You Need
Too often but I tend to pack too much. I will go on a short trip and bring clothes for every day and we’ll forget to look to see if I have the availability of doing laundry while I’m away has this can allow you to bring less clothes and do a bit more laundry instead. Making sure that you ask good questions of the place where you will be staying as well as knowing what type of weather is coming for your trip is also important. Bring a few days of clothes that will help you to be able to swap out different colors for your apparel and that also we can save you some room in your luggage.
Stock Up!
3. Stock Up
Whether you to this before you leave or once you arrive at your location, visiting a local Walmart is a great way to be able to save money. You can find small things that will help you on your trip. There have been times where I am able to stay at places that have kitchens and we tend to throw away a lot of food at the end of the time staying at the site. I visiting a local dollar store you can at times consider getting smaller bottles of things like dressing, laundry detergent, body soap etc. Best of all, by doing this, you save a lot of money that you would have spent in another store.
 Create a Checklist
4. Create a Checklist
As you get ready for your road trip there will be many things that you have to do to stay on top of things and be ready for the actual day of the trip. Everything that is going on the day of the trip will quickly sneak up on you. By making a checklist of the things that you need to pack, the things that you need to do for your car, and any additional items that need to be completed to get your house ready for you to be missing will help you to make sure that you will stay on top of things and that you won’t forget the things that need to be either accomplished or packed prior to the trip.
Be Prepared
5. Be Prepared

Car Review – 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Plus

November 29, 2017 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

Toyota Prius Prime

When it comes to features on a car that I look for initially, gas mileage is definitely on the top of my books and the 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Plus is a vehicle that continues to wow me in regards to the amount of money you can save in the lifetime of the car itself.

2017 Toyota Prius Prime Plus

Your see, the 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Plus can get up to 56 miles per gallon. As I was driving he vehicle I found that I enjoyed being able to play a bit of a game with my driving trying to do whatever I could to keep the car in a zone where I was using as little engine power as I could. This was not an easy task, but it was something that really allows you to make the most out of your driving experience. I also noted that after every drive the 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Plus would give you a ranking on how well you did in regards to being economical and “green.”

Outside of these features I did find that the vehicle worked well in all conditions that I experienced. It has a few different power modes which will allow you to get different types of power depending on the type of terrain or power that is needed.

The trunk on the 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Plus is small but you can have additional space by folding down the backseat. You can also take out the cover that sits over the trunk area as well, so while you do not have a lot of room, however, for small trips you should have plenty of room to get from where you are to where you are going!

The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Plus is a great car that truly will save you a ton of money in the end and for the price you are gaining an amazing ride!

Car Review – 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe LTE

November 19, 2017 by dadofdivas Leave a Comment

2018 Hyundai Santa Fe

About the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe

Whenever I try a new car I love to give it to see whether or not my family will fit and it with any problems. With the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe I quickly found that this was not the case. The Hyundai Santa Fe is a vehicle that definitely has a ton of room. You are able to not only fit a family of four but you also have a third row that allows you to have additional people, especially if you have a large family, or if you bring friends along with you as well. My family only has two children within it, both of my kids are in sports and tend to have friends over all the time which means that we need a vehicle that can have more people within it. With the Hyundai Santa Fe we could easily get 7 people within the vehicle and still have some room in the back for luggage. I will be honest and say that it is not a lot of room but you can give yourself more room if you do not use the third row. The third row will fold down so that you can have quite a bit of room to be able to bring things with you if the need arises.

2018 Hyundai Santa Fe
The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with a ton of great features. The vehicle handles very well in both dry and wet conditions. It also accelerates quickly and has great safety features that allow for you to be able to know if you are going off the road or if there are other obstacles around the vehicle. One of the safety features I love is the camera system that the Hyundai Santa Fe has that even gives you a 360 View around the vehicle and you are backing into a parking spot or as you are simply backing up.
The vehicle has a reasonable price tag too. You have the ability to be able to get into a vehicle like this for a bit more than $30,000. For a family can I this is a vehicle that definitely gives you everything that you need and more.
2018 Hyundai Santa Fe
I’m definitely very impressed with this vehicle and if you have never tried driving the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

My Take on the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe
