My Take on the Book

I’m Going to Give You a Bear Hug was a fun book that looks at hugs through the eyes of a child and examines all of the ways that a child can get a hug. It is a very fun book to read with young kids and through rhyming and words that are very fluid, kids will get lost in the story, but will stay for what the story says to their heart. I say that I’m Going to Give You a Bear Hug would be a great way to end a day and a nice way to reinforce your love for your child showing them the hug that they can get too. The images throughout the book were vibrantly illustrated and the animals that from whom the hugs are from are all ones that your kids will relate to. The book is a very short read and a book that I truly enjoyed reading to my own kids.

My Take on the Book

This was a very cute book that you can read in two different ways. When you read it one way you get a parent saying, “I love you,” and sharing hugs all day. In the other direction it is the child talking to the parent saying and doing the same. The message is a powerful one and you get a ton of great images that show parent and child in a great relationship together and also engaging in so many fun activities that bring them closer together in the end.
This is a great book for kids around the ages of 3-5. This is a book that can easily be read to your child at any time and is a book you will come back to again and again!

In the main character Murray Gastev is anything but ordinary. He’s a thief for hire and a good one at that. He completes his latest job but ends up with far more than just the cash he expected to receive. He finds he now has the ability to pass through walls and float. There are just two small problems: He can’t breathe while he ‘ghosts’ and he can’t control where he floats to. With the help of some new friends, Murray might learn to control his powers and may even pull off his biggest heist yet. If he doesn’t end up being sliced to ribbons first.

My Take on the Book
This was a truly engaging story which seems to be the first of many (I hope). As someone that has always been intrigued by superhero stories, I love that this character receives his powers and uses them for good. He is definitely not perfect and there are some aspects of his character that are questionable, but the story was still great and I was drawn in throughout the book. The book was a very fast read and action packed. The author also does a great job at developing his characters too. All-in-all this is a book that I truly hope is the start of a new series!

This was a great book that reconceptualizes the song Footloose by Kenny Loggins into a book made for young kids to enjoy. I loved the story behind this book and the relevance to Kenny Loggins’ own granddaughter. This is a great book that really captures the essence of the book and song! By the end of this book your feet will be tapping and you too will be wanting to put on your dancing shoes too!

The Big Fat Notebook Series is a series is a set of books that I wish that I had when I was in middle school. My Take on the Book

Talk about little known facts. This book was a ton of fun to read and to learn from and I found myself wanting to read further more so than simply feeling like I needed to because I started reading the book. The book is also filled with so many facts that you will not know. The other has taken great facts, stories and more as shared by his fans and allows you to live through these and learn from them. I found that I learned a ton from the book and I know that you will as well.

My Take on the Book

It is so nice to be able to have a book with a character that my daughter loves that is personalized directly to her. I am very impressed by the quality of the book and there are so many other books that are also available for people of all ages. My Take on the Book

This is a great retelling of Return of the Jedi. My youngest daughter, who is a big Star Wars fan has been reading these books and has been loving them. As a part of her reading them, she has been reading them to me too, and I have to say that as a fan the author did a great job capturing the essence of the movie, but beyond that, he also goes beyond that and allows the reader to gain better perspective about the characters and the situations that occur in this timeline.

This is a great book and one that goes beyond the cannon and opens the eyes of young readers to the wonders and the world of Star Wars and as a fan and as a father I am so glad that this and the other books in the series have been available.
