My Take on the DVD

My daughters grew up on Scooby Doo and this new series is one that they have just loved! The series is fun and entertaining and the animation is so excellent. You get the best of Mystery Ink and it is great for both kids and adults! In watching this I would say that in my opinion this has been one of the best new Scooby-Doo series’ since the original series. Personally, I love the mature story and themes and the fact that they really broadened the characters to a larger extent than I have seen in years. The series also has a ton of pop culture references throughout the episodes which makes the episodes even more relevant. Overall, this is a great Scooby Doo that any fan will love!

My Take on the Season

As a big fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm this season was a great one that I loved being able to catch up on again. I missed so many things along the way that watching it again allowed me to remember and experience again. This season brings out the continual humor of the series, while also allowing the characters to chine.

In the fifth season, the stakes are higher than ever. Secrets will be revealed, Lucifer makes a tumultuous return from Hell, Chloe rethinks romance, Ella finally finds a nice guy, and Amenadiel adjusts to the whole fatherhood thing. In the first half of the season, Lucifer’s twin brother Michael secretly takes the devil’s place on earth while he’s back in Hell. Eventually, Lucifer must face the mess his brother made with his life. He’ll also finally confront his feelings for Chloe, and answer a question that fans have been asking since the very beginning: “will they or won’t they?” Then in the second half of the season, God makes his grand appearance. Except, Lucifer never prayed for this, and he already can’t wait to send dear old Dad back where he came from. Unfortunately for Lucifer, God isn’t going anywhere, and wants to get into every aspect of Lucifer’s life. But our heroes will soon discover that God is here for more than just some family bonding time!

About the Season

“Lucifer: The Complete Fifth Season” collects all 16 episodes of “Lucifer” that were a part of the Netflix release. You get the best of the series and the characters that you have come to love such as Lucifer Morningstar, Detective Chloe Decker, Amenadiel, Mazikeen, Detective Daniel Espinoza, Trixie Espinoza, Dr. Linda Martin, Ella Lopez, Eve and of course, God. One of the things that was great this season was that Tom Ellis does double-duty in season five as Lucifer and his twin brother, Michael Demiurgos. I loved the duality in this and how Michael attempts to manipulate Lucifer and his loved ones, leading to a conflict that eventually draws God himself to appear and intercede. In my opinion this was a great season that brought the characters together in some great ways and by the end of the season I was wanting even more!

Disney’s Cinderella is a beautiful story that shows that dreams can come true, even if you have lost all hope. The acting in this movie was superb and even better were the visual effects, props and more. If you never saw this when it was still out in the theater, you missed out. Homeland: Season 4 Blu-ray Review

While I was late to watching the earlier seasons of Homeland, I did binge watch the first three season earlier this summer. For me, this was the type of series that once you start you do not want to stop! is so action packed and each episode is a thrill ride full of suspense and drama as well. The actors in the cast have a great chemistry together and I, for one, love how well Claire Danes plays the main character in the show, Carrie Mathison. What is great about her portrayal of the character is that she shows that she is flawed, and that is ok. So get ready for twists and turns in this season, as it was a non-stop and fun season!
