Kleenex Hand Towels Reduce The Spread of Germs

Did you know that in the U.S. alone, people dry their hands on cloth bathroom towels approximately 200 billion times per year? That’s a lot of hand washing. Single-use bathroom towels help reduce the spread of germs as compared to re-usable towels, providing consumers with a product that gives them a hygienic solution. To show consumers the difference, Kleenex Hand Towels placed a hand-washing station in the middle of busy Central Park in New York City. The reactions of those who interacted with the hand washing station were priceless as people clearly preferred Kleenex Hand Towels over the others.

My Take on the Product

I had the chance to try out this product for myself and have to say that it works quite well. You can place it on a towel bar and as long as your towel bar is low enough for all to reach, it gives you the opportunity to not only cut down on the amount of washing of towels, but also in the spread of germs. The reason I say the spread of germs is that I see the amount of germs that our kids and their friends bring in and with this going on and people using the same towel it is inevitable that germs are going to be shared between them. With this you do not have to worry about that and instead the spread of germs should be limited somewhat.

The design is set up that you could set them in a towel bar upside down and let gravity take hold. The only downsides that I found with the product itself is the price, as it is a bit expensive for something that you will throw away, especially if you are on a fixed budget. Second, from an aesthetic point of view, I would recommend some different designs that you can use to add some color to where you have these as right now the colors are quite basic in general.

Overall though the concept of this is quite good and I love the fact that you are limiting the spread of germs. The towels are soft and durable and you do typically only need one per use (at least that is what I found to be true). I could see this working not only in a home but also in places of high traffic like a school or other place like this.
