Think back to the time when you were growing up. It’s the holidays and you are in the kitchen with your parents or your grandparents. I know for me one of the holiday traditions I remember more was that I would end up baking up a storm with my grandmother every Christmas and inevitably we would turn to our Betty Crocker Cookbook for help!
One of the favorite recipes we made every year were peanut butter cookies with chocolate kisses in the middle. While you see many people making these over the holidays, they were never the same as when I made them with my grandmother. This was especially true when you got to eat them right out of the oven when they were warm and the chocolate would melt in your mouth. Talk about good!
This year we are continuing the tradition. My youngest daughter finally has started to show some interest in baking with me, so we decided to pull out the big red Betty Crocker Cookbook to find the peanut butter cookie recipe. We had all of the ingredients at home already so it was not hard to start this. I also found with the extra help from her that we were able to get done in no time, even though I was not trying to rush in any sense.
While this is only one of the traditions that I hope to continue doing, not only at the holiday season, but all year long there are many others that we continue to do as well. These traditions are important as they will help to continue to offer my kids and more the opportunity to pass on not only family history but shared memories too.
I am so glad that General Mills, and its family of brands including, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and Chex has been around for 150 years, touching the lives of so many by making food people love and inspiring holiday traditions year after year. You see, the holiday season is all about celebration and everyone has someone in their lives who inspires and keeps their traditions alive, just like I am trying to do with my own family!

Click here to check out a cold weather recipe for Fig, Pear, Arugula and Goat Cheese Pizza from Rustic Crust. This recipe is sure to warm you up this winter!
The pizza night that we had was so much fun. I was impressed by the ingredients within the Rustic Crust pizza crust that I received. We ended up making two pizzas, one with cheese and one with cheese, onion, red pepper and pepperoni. The pizzas did not take long to make and what was great was that we could get the whole family involved in cooking together. I know that I already mentioned the two pizzas that we made but I would be remiss to not say how easy it was to create the pizza you have in your mind when you have these ready made crusts around.
It did not take too long to bake these crusts and when they came out of the oven they smelled great! On top of this, the Rustic Crust pizza crusts were thick and yet still easy enough to cut.
The taste of the crusts was superb. We loved the doughy consistency of the crust. The bread was fresh tasting and soft and all-in-all just tasted wonderful.
We were very impressed with Rustic Crust pizza dough and you will be too!

The question ‘How to feed children’ concerns all parents. Very often feeding your kids can be challenging. Children can utterly refuse eating healthy foods you try to serve them at times and you can be left pulling your hair out trying to be a great parent and keeping your kids healthy too.
Kids do not normally want to think of nutrition value. For them food’s main function is to taste great. I gave up explaining how important for well-doing is to get enough fiber, protein, vitamins, microelements and so on a long time ago and I am sure that you have too. After numerous failed attempts at feeding my kids with foods that were healthy but vapid in their opinion, I made up my mind to use some tricks. (Yes, raising children requires much ingenuity!) I guess most parents use them on a regular basis. My favorite one is to disguise foods they do not want to eat (Do you do this too?).
A carrot cake is a wonderful example how vegetable, particularly carrots, can be hid and not recognized at all. I recently found a great carrot cake recipe that was typical of what I mean here. The recipe I found from someone that I know that works for uk.cupid.com. One thing that I liked about the recipe was not only all of the healthy things that were included but also that it was gluten-free. This recipe is a real godsend for parents whose children suffer gluten intolerance or the Celiac disease.
But before heating the oven and prepare all of the ingredients I recommend all parents get tuned-in to cooking. It means to get rid of all worries, bad thoughts and frustration. I have definitely noticed that a good mood is a secret of delicious baking.
The equipment you’ll need is as follows
The set of products is unpretentious too.
Heat the oven, line a loaf tin with parchment and grease it with some amount of butter. Beat butter and sugar to achieve creamy and soft texture. Grate carrots and add them to the initial texture. The next step will be to stir in the eggs and sultanas soaked in hot water. Chop nuts and mix them with cinnamon, gluten free baking powder and gluten free self- raising powder. Marry the mixture comprising of liquid ingredients and dry-goods mixture. Tip it into the pan and bake for 50 minutes. The carrot cake is ready when the toothpick is clean after being poked into the highest part of the cake. Take out a pan, let it cool for a 25 minutes and remove your work of culinary art.
There you go! Call your kids over and let them enjoy the fruits of your labor. Make sure not to mention that it is made of carrot. I bet they never guess!
Holidays are all about getting the whole family together. Whether the kids have moved out, are away at college, or spend way too much time studying or at practice, it’s important for parents to take advantage of the few days of quality time. For mom & dad, that means not spending hours in the kitchen fussing with the meal preparations or taking on the task of cleaning up.
Enter smart dad’s secret weapons: Reynolds oven bags and disposable bakeware. The combo of oven bags and disposable bakeware allow for an effortless, but delicious turkey and side dishes – with quick and easy clean up.
Behold the awesome benefits of Reynolds oven bags:
And with disposable Reynolds bakeware:
For me, a dad who works full time and also works to help around the house with cooking and the like, I am all about time saving techniques and these products do just that. Too many Thanksgivings in the past were followed by much time spent scrubbing the turkey pan. No more! This year we are using the Reynolds Wrap bakeware (Disposable baby!) and the oven bags, keeping everything clean and worry free. If you have never tried these yourself, you should…they are the perfect size and the hassle that they remedy is so great, I cannot say enough great things!

My Take on the Product
Do you ever have the problem of having too much stuff in your kitchen and in the end you find that things are completely disorganized and it is hard to find things when you need them? I know in fact this has been the case in our home. I was excited to be able to try out the YouCopia Bakestack as in looking at all of the things in our house we had so many baking related items that seem to be in many different locations. What does this mean when baking, it means that your going from place to place trying to find something and at times not finding what you’re looking for.
This is where this product is great! The YouCopia Bakestack provides you with the ability to organize all of your baking items in one place. No longer well you have things strewn in different drawers and cabinets in your kitchen, instead you can keep everything in one place and find it easily.
The product itself is well me and I appreciated the fact that it provided the owner have many different dividers they could be used to set up separate sections for the separate drawers.
I played with this for a while and found it to be easy to use as well as it provided me with the end result that I was looking for which was organization.
