Applebee’s® Has $1 Long Island Iced Tea the Entire Month of December

Applebee’s® Neighborhood Grill + Bar is an amazing restaurant that I love to eat at, especially with my family but there are times when going out just with my wife is perfect too! Lately, Applebee’s is winning the holiday cocktail game by offering the new $1 Long Island Iced Tea, better known as the Dollar L.I.T.™, throughout December. This fan-favorite cocktail is made with a delicious new mix of vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec and sweet & sour mix with a splash of cola. The Applebee’s Dollar L.I.T. is available all day at participating Applebee’s restaurants nationwide every day in December – for only a buck!

I had the chance to out out to Applebee’s the other night and try this great drink for myself and let me tell you, for $1, you are getting a great drink that taste’s great and has just the right amount of flavor too.

“The Dollar drink is back at Applebee’s just in time for the holidays, and this time, folks can enjoy a $1 Long Island Iced Tea,” said Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation at Applebee’s. “The Dollar L.I.T. is kind to your pocket book and a great drink to share with old friends and new ones this holiday season.”

My wife also tried this and she loved the flavor of this drink too. What was even better was that Applebee’s Dollar L.I.T. is available all day for the month of December. I have seen Applebee’s roll out different types of drinks for their dollar menu, but I, for one, am glad that they close this for December!

As you go out to dinner at your local Applebee’s one of the things you have to decide is what to drink. I know when I go out (without the kids) it is nice to be able to try one of the signature cocktails every once in a while. One of the nice things at Applebee’s is that you can pair your drinks with the food you are eating with the help of your server. You also can capitalize on the fact that you can customize your meal easily with 17 sides that can be substituted for any meal that you choose. Some of the amazing sides and “extras” that you can select from include:

This Veterans Day (Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017), Applebee’s will again honor veterans and active-duty U.S. military by offering a free meal from a selection of seven entrees at more than 1,800 restaurants nationwide. As one of the first and largest national efforts of its kind, Applebee’s has served more than 8.3 million free meals to veterans and active duty military on Veterans Day since 2008 and expects to serve close to 1 million more this year.

Veterans Day is one of the busiest days of the year at Applebee’s. In actuality, this year marks the tenth consecutive year that Applebee’s has honored America’s veterans and active-duty military; Applebee’s is proud to have served more than 8.3 million free meals since 2008.

All veterans and active-duty military are eligible to receive a free meal at Applebee’s restaurants nationwide from a selection of seven entrees. The special menu this year includes:

Leaves are falling, kids are in activities like soccer and school is back in session. On top of this, football is back and you can feel the tension in the air when it is game day. I know for me, having ways to bring my family together while eating some great food is always a ton of fun! I am also a HUGE fan of finding a great burger (as this is a comfort food for me) and every time I go to Applebee’s I continue to find amazing burgers available there. If you have never gone to Applebee’s you should, and when you are there, not only will you be surrounded by some great sports action, but the food is remarkable too.

I have been a fan of Applebee’s for some time, but I had not been there recently. I was lucky enough recently to be asked to go and try out their new menu and specifically bring my family! When I got to the restaurant I have to say that I was really impressed to find that the menu had been given a complete overhaul. You not only could get some of the traditional favorites, but they now are offering all-you-can-eat ribs as well as burgers that are actually infused with some delicious things. I mean there’s an All-In Burger that will help you celebrate your love for everything bacon – the Triple Bacon Burger. ?They actually sear bacon right into their fresh (never frozen) ground beef, place two strips of crispy bacon on top and spread a BBQ bacon ranch on the bottom bun – you truly get bacon in every bite!

I chose to try out the all-you-can-eat ribs as I am a sucker for good ribs. There were a number of flavors and the best part to this deal is that every time that they bring you new ribs you can get a new flavor and try them all of you like. The ribs were flavorful and were filled with a ton of meat.

My kids loved their kids menu and I was impressed with the price and the amount of food that they got, and of course they wanted to trade up and get an oreo milkshake for dinner and did I relent, why yes I did!

J-Mom got a sandwich that she said was simply divine. What more can you ask for but a happy family spending time together over a great meal at a great price!

The atmosphere in Applebee’s is also fun. Laid back and definitely connected to sports, you can relax, watch a game and eat some great food, while you enjoy your evening out, or at least that was what we did.
