About the Talking Cash Register
My Take on the Cash Register
I was excited to have Diva-J try out this toy to see if it would capture her interest as I thought it would. You see Diva-J loves to be in control, and she loves money (and spending money). My hope was that we could start to teach her some more good habits with this toy in the future. In opening the cash register, I found it to be a bit easier to release from its box (I didn’t even have to cut anything and no colorful words were used).
The cash register, once released, was ready to use. Everything worked great. I loved how the scanner actually worked. The only hiccup for us was that in using the barcodes that came with the toy (which were stickers that could be affixed to items), they tended to not ring up at the price that were supposed to ring up at. So for example, something that you wanted to ring up for $49.99 may ring up at $1.99. Also, the microphone and scanner cords in my opinion could have been a little longer.
To be honest, Diva-J could have cared less and you had the option to key in any price.
Once we had it set up, it was time to set up a grocery store at home, yes plastic food everywhere!
All-in-all Diva-J had a blast and Diva-PJ even wanted to get into the fun.
