You love Disney, we love Disney, and Jazz Loves Disney! This latest compilation album from Disney Music will have you tapping your toes, playing air trombone, and reminiscing about the good ol’ days.
We all have a Walt Disney cartoon tune or melody in mind, reminding us of magic afternoons spent with our parents when we were kids or with our own children now that we are grown-ups. It is a bit of this special feeling and pleasure that artists such as Gregory Porter, Melody Gardot, Stacey Kent, Jamie Cullum and other leading music stars share with us on the new project produced by Jay Newland and arranged and directed by Rob Mounsey, as they perform big band jazz covers of songs that are part of every kids heritage.

My Take on the Album
This was a fresh take on the Disney songs that you grew up with and love. As someone that loves Jazz, I can say that I appreciated the new takes on these songs, but also the way that the artists stayed true in many ways to the original songs too. These songs definitely are unique and if you are a fan of Disney you will love the interconnected beats and melodies that make up these songs, I know that I did!
I wanted to share one of the things that artist Anne Sila said about being a part of this album
I’m lucky to be part of this beautiful album and honored to share it with artists I have admired for many years. Jazz represents a huge part of my musical path where I keep returning. Disney marked my childhood, like most children, but as an adult I still have a great taste for fairytales and imaginary. Being able to combine both in one album is fun and inspiring. The cherry on the cake was to revisit “let It go” which has been such a success the last few years. It’s a great way to discover those famous tracks and add fantasy and jazz to it. I’m proud to be part of it.”
Gran this album for yourself – You’ll be grad you did!
