A Whrll of a Time!

September 10, 2009 by dadofdivas 1 Comment

Recently I was asked to document my happenings this past weekend for a NING group by the name of Collective Bias through the use of a new instrument called Whrll. I had never used this site before and was interested to find out more. I found Whrrl to be an easy instrument to use and a fun way to link your pictures together with a storyline without taking up space on your blog.

From what I can tell there does not seem to be any limit to the number of pictures that you can use for this story telling instrument. Thus, you can take as many pictures as you want and organize them in any way that you choose to tell the story that you wish to tell.

The site also allows you to look into the lives of other individuals that are using the site. Whether these people are friends or not, they can access your presentations depending on whether you make your story public or only open to friends or specific people.

One other nice feature is the direct connection that the site provides between facebook and twtter. Once setup you can with one click share any story on both social networking instrument.

I would encourage all of you to take a look at this site and see what kind of stories that you can share. Below you will find the story I told about a get-together this past weekend!

I like the way that's done. I wish it didn't require clicking away from the main blog site, though. Is there an option to make it just do the playback with your own blog in the background, rather than the Whrll page?

Great photographic wrap-up of your weekend; I often do these, but without the benefit of a tool like this.
