Great advice and I totally agree. It has been shown in numerous studies that unstructured play time is essential to child development. You do need structure as well, but the freedom to create, explore and discover the world on their own makes for happier and better-adjusted kids.
Playing on the floor with my daughter is the best time of my day. At the end of the day, during those difficult hours after dinner and before bed, it is all I have energy to do. My girl loves it!
