You can also help them feel more independent. They can begin to learn how to look after their own home, which prepares them for when they leave for college or move out. Your teen probably won’t be living with you for decades to come but adding an extra en-suite bathroom will continue to be useful after they have left home, whether it is to be inherited by their younger siblings as they get older or used for guests. Adding an extra room to your home almost always increases its value, too, and an en-suite bathroom can be a big selling point for a lot of buyers, so you may also find that putting in this bathroom will be a good investment should you wish to sell the house in the future!
