Me, I am a morning person, though I am writing this at a late evening hour. J-Mom would say that I am an uber-morning person, and oh, by the way, she is not (Opposites attract!).
I used to be able to be up and functioning more in the evening, but the longer that I have been a parent and full time worker, the more that I cannot stay up (Got to love the balancing act!)
I have started to wonder about how some people can get by with little to no sleep while others need a large amount. I know it has to do with the physiological makeup of a person, but at times it would be nice to bottle the energy of a child to use on a low energy day. I mean, I look at my eldest (Diva-J) and marvel at how she can run nonstop until the evening when she begins to crash and burn. I have seen some adults living the same way (not always to their benefit).
So my questions today?
Would you consider yourself a morning person or night owl?
How does this effect the person you are and how your function around your family?

I am totally a night owl. Which is why I’m having such a difficult time now that I don’t HAVE to get up in the mornings. My internal clock just gets later and later – and later… Sigh. 🙂
Well, let's see I am grumpy in the AM until that moring cup of joe, Then in the middle of the day I am tired & just want to nap with the kids so that doesn't seem like my "good time." And in the evening I am just laid back & go to bed at a decent time.. Not sure what my best hour is, maybe between 4-5pm. That's just sad!
Hoot! Definitely a night owl. As a matter of fact, my poker screen name is Mr. Owl.
But by the time I get home from work, Im usually a pooped owl. I have to really be aware of how I’m acting, and let go (as best as possible) of my fatigue.
Peace,
Joey

Another night owl here. If I could keep my own schedule, I’d go to bed around 2 am and sleep until 10. Having a child has definitely changed things though.
I’m a night owl when I have a choice! Sadly when it’s back to school time, I will have to be a morning person by force!
I am and have always been a night owl. It makes for some very slow and grumpy mornings.
I’m a morning person. I love getting up early when no one else is awake.
