How many of you have sat down in the early morning to write a blog or to read a book, surf the internet or the like? I find that for me, this is one of the most productive times of the day, when my mind is the most awake and I am at my most creative. I also have to say that it is nice to have a quiet house where I can work uninhibited (at least for a short period of time).
This time as I mention though is fleeting and it soon turns into the hustle and bustle of the morning which turns into the work day wheich turns into the evening “dad”routine and then slow down yet again for the evening where things quiet down again.
Thus is the existence of my day, at least on most days. Sometimes there is some outlier, something that is different and a welcome change. Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way displeased to what my life is like, but the routine is something of an interesting phenomena that has occurred.
So my question for the day for all of you is what do you do in the wee hours of the morning? Sleep? Work Out? Read? Simply watch and listen to nature? What helps you to wake up and start your energy going each day?

For me, the wee-hours of the morning are my normal wake-up routine. M-F my radio goes on around 3:55, and I get up to an alarm at 4:15 (the radio has one of those nature soundtracks, to which I hit snooze once or twice).
On weekends, you can find me roaming around the house after midnight until 2 or 3 AM. Reading various blogs is what keeps me busy at these times.
I have to say that I need way more sleep than that Charlie!
Good; while I've been doing this for more than a dozen years, it is not a lifestyle I would recommend.
