When I was on vacation a few weeks ago I was cleaning my glasses and all of a sudden my glasses broke in two. I had these glasses for the past 10 years so they lasted a long time, but it was very sad to lose them. Luckily I was able to go to the Gaylord Eye Care Center to be able to get a eye exam as well as to get some great new glasses.
I have always seen the importance of keeping up with my eye care. I always did what I could to have regular eye exams to make sure that my eyes were staying healthy and that my prescription was not changing too drastically. Luckily, as a professional I have always had eye insurance and lately my employer offers me VSP Vision Care for employees. I read recently that many experts believe that 80 percent of what we learn is through our eyes, making a comprehensive eye exam one of the most important ways parents can give their child the best chance at success this school year.
