Popcornopolis Organic Nearly Naked Brings You Amazing Popcorn!

My family loves popcorn and we are always looking for great popcorn to share as a family and recently we just had the chance to try the Organic Nearly Naked Popcornopolis popcorn and we were really impressed.

Popcornopolis and Organic Nearly Naked can be found in Costco and the bags of popcorn are huge. Even better though is that the popcorn tastes amazing. The popcorn is lightly salted and with so much that you get in one bag you can enjoy it for days or with many movies.

At only $5.39 a bag, this is a great price and as mentioned is quite large based on other bags of popcorn I have seen in the store before. Also, with this being organic, you get natural goodness all in one bag.

Even better, there is a great deal that will be available at Costco soon as from April 19 – May 13, the cost will drop to $3.49.

Football, Food & More – All Better With Hormel

When you are watching the big game with friends you definitely need to have snacks at the ready and Hormel Foods has exactly what you need to make the game day memorable. When it comes to breakfasts at my house, I can tell you it is all hands on deck. It is always busy and sometimes it is hard to have enough time to make a meal for which we can be proud. However, there are times when we can find items that are made with high quality ingredients that can be given to our daughters. That is why I was excited to learn about the new Entenmann’s Little Bites.

While I have daughters that are picky when it comes to what they eat, but when trying the new Entenmann’s Little Bites they were clamoring for more.

They also loved that the new Entenmann’s Little Bites and they loved even more the fact that the newest packaging connected to the new Smurfs movie too. With the blueberry muffins that we recently tried I think the kids thought they were eating Smurfberries!

The packages of Entenmann’s Little Bites were the perfect size for my daughters and filled them up. They could also take them on the go wherever they were going.

My Take on the Lunches

Naturebox Gives You Amazing Lunch Box Snacks!

When it comes to snacks my kids are always cleaning out our cupboards whether it is before school, after school or begging for great snacks for their school lunches. So as you can probably guess, J-Mom and I are always trying to make sure that the snacks that we do have in stock are high quality with great ingredients. While we usually look at our local stores, sometimes we have a hard time finding the quality non-processed foods available.

Lately we have turned online to make our life easier, and we recently learned about NatureBox. NatureBox is a company the focusses on high quality snacks delivered right to your door. You simply go online to their website, create a plan for the number of snacks that you prefer, select your snacks and you are off.

When we first went to the site and started looking around, my first impression was WOW, there are some amazing snacks here that I have never seen anywhere else. On top of this, the price for the high quality natural snacks was reasonable and the convenience of delivery was even better. Some of the things I was most impressed with was that Naturebox seemed to offer the customer bold and delicious snacks as well as a personalized experience for me. On top of this, you could tell that they truly take pride in the snacks that they are creating and that they are thoughtful when it comes to putting together the snacks themselves. The snacks offered no artificial content and was made with high quality materials, which is what I want for my children’s lunches, but also for anytime snacking too.

Looking through the NatureBox snacks we selected about 7 that we wanted to try for ourselves that ranged from Salted Carmel Pretzel Pops to Sriracha cashews to roasted pumpkin seeds and more.

Not only were the NatureBox snacks ones that J-Mom and I loved, but my kids actually liked them too. The snacks tasted fresh and were just the right size. They a;so were the perfect size for use to use to incorporate into our kids’ lunches and we have been surprising them with fund snacks everyday this week thus far and when they came home they asked for more (which is always a great sign).

You Too Can Be A Soccer #SidelineHero!

She shoots, she scores! That is always something that a father loves to hear, especially when it comes to his own daughter this time of year. Being a Soccer Dad, you are called on to not only be there to cheer on your own child and the entire soccer team, but many times you are also called on, sometimes at the last minute to be a #SidelineHero during practices or during or prior to a game. There have been many instances where I have been called on to bring in a snack, and while I know it would be oh so easy to purchase unhealthy snacks, I know that what the girls really need is healthy snacks and other things that will allow them to recoup their own energy lost during the game or practice and one way I do that is with a Powerade Game 12-pack and some fresh fruit!

You see, so often this time of year my daughter is running from one game to the next. Even this past weekend, we had soccer practice on Friday, and a game on Saturday and Sunday. By the end of the weekend she is wiped and so are her teammates. As a dad, I can definitely empathize with that and I want to do what I can to help.

Below is a recipe that you can try at home!

Game Day #SidelineHero Soccer Skewers

Select your favorite fruit. There are so may to choose from at your local Walmart! I chose the following for my Skewers based on their texture, flavor and color:

Bananas
Blueberries
Kiwi
Pineapple
Apple Slices
Strawberries
Rasberries
Blackberries

Take the fruit and cut into 1 inch X 1/2 inch sections (all except the blueberries and strawberries) – large enough to make sure that they can fit through the skewers themselves.

Once cut, take wooden skewers and thread the fruit on individual skewers. You can select the order of the fruit and get creative.

There is no set number that you have to make, but I typically make enough so that each girl on the team can have two skewers and I bring enough for their brothers and sisters that are inevitably there and want a snack too!

SNICKERS ® Asks, Who Do I Become #WhenImHungry ?

When I’m hungry, I’m hungry. No ifs, ands, or buts. This is especially true in the mid-afternoons. I get into a mid-afternoon slump and for me I just need a little pick me up that gives me a little boost and back on track for the rest of the day. I am especially looking for snacks that can give me protein and a bit of sweetness and this is where SNICKERS® comes in. Thus, I was really excited to be asked to go out and pick up a few of these great candy bars at my local Speedway convenience store thanks to #CollectiveBias.

Lately I have been seeing Snickers’ campaign asking who you become when your’re hungry? I love this #WhenImHungry campaign as I have felt this way many times, especially after a hard day, where everything seems to be going wrong, or when you just are lacking in energy. That being said, I would have to say that sometimes I feel like the Whiners on SNL

I feel like this until I get my day back on track and getting that extra protein and energy really helps.

I had not tried some of the new varieties of SNICKERS® that are on the market. That being said, I have to say that the Snickers Extreme and the SNICKERS® Peanut Butter are probably my favorites. They are both really different, but both are amazing!

I love to have these snacks in my desk for those emergency days. I will be honest and say that these are not for the everyday occurrence, but I do need them every now and again and when I do, having them on hand really helps. As you can see in the pictures, I have kept a few in my backpack (I have had to use this lately due to the fact that I am on crutches with a broken ankle), but also in my desk drawer too. Both are great places that help me to have the energy I need when I need it.

I also have to comment that I appreciate that they have broken the Snickers into two halves. This allowed me to be able to ration what I ate and limit the calories too. It is not always easy to be good and only eat one half, but the package is made so that I can and this really makes it convenient to help be be good! It also helps you in your portion controls too, so if you are trying to watch your portions this will definitely help. The Snickers bars also are great because they fill you up. With the amount of protein that you have in each bar you get a ton of protein that definitely fills you up between meals (or at least it did for me).

With SNICKERS® I no longer need to be one of the Whiners and instead I can get my day back on track and finish off the day strong and you can too!

This was a great gift pack and seeing that I received it right before Thanksgiving I was able to tear into it right away. I have to say that the meat was succulent and the cheese was amazing. I, for one was very impressed and could think of at least a handful of people that would love a gift like this. A brand new flavor, just in time for the holidays. Sun Chips, a brand I have loved for years just came out with a new Sweet & Spicy BBQ flavor that is out of this world! I love flavor and this new variety is loaded with it. The chips themselves are definitely a bit sweet & spicy so it leaves a great taste on the tip of your tongue when you are done (IMHO).

So I cannot say enough great things about this, nor about the brand. My kids also love Sun Chips and I have to say that as soon as we have a bag in the house it seems to very quickly disappear. My Take on Fruit Bursts

I was luck enough to try these new products out and they taste great! I loved the idea that I could provide this great tasting product in the lunches of my kids. With the low sugar amount and the ease in which these can be opened by my daughters. My daughters loved both varieties that we tried but they preferred the strawberry ones. With school lunches being something we have to do daily, having an easy fix to provide in the lunch or for a snack makes my life so much easier, and when my kids love it like they loved the taste of these, it is that much better!
