I wear dress shoes every day, as I work in a professional environment, so having quality shoes that make me look good is a must. On top of this though, I want shoes that make my feet feel good as well. This is not always easy, as I seem to always have to search and search to find the shoe that fits me well. This though has not been the case with the Rockport shoes that I have tried in the past or with this pair that I am sharing with you today.

After receiving these shoes I did a bit of research and came to find that the original DresSports collection came out in 1983 and Rockport continues to put the shoes to the test through differening styles and varieties. On top of this they even had people run marathons in these shoes, so that should tell you how comfortable the shoes are.

As you can see I tried out the and I was impressed from the moment they came out of the box. The shoes were sleek and professional and best of all comfortable. Too often with dress shoes, I find that my back starts hurting after standing for long periods due to a lack of overall foot support. This was not the cast with the DresSports Luxe shoes that I tried. My feet were comfortable and truly feeling great by the end of the day. They also take a beating and do not show too much either, which is great so you don’t have to polish them as much!!

Every day for me is an adventure and lately that have been more true than not. For the past few months I have been dealing with a broken ankle and because of that I have been looking for any type of shoes that I can wear with wither an ankle boot or being on crutches as I need as much support and comfort as I can as I walk around.

With that in mind, and seeing that we are in the midst of winter I also was looking for shoes that not only looked good, gave comfort, but also had amazing traction too as I did not want to fall and hurt myself any more.

Rockport asked me to put together my own adventure look and because of that I tried my best to find the shoes that would best help me in my time of need as I needed to have the help and support and knew that at the same time I needed to look stylish too. That being said, I selected the Walk 360 Toe Guard Oxfords that you see above as I thought that they could go with wither casual or semi-dress clothes and the traction was something that I knew would really help me this time of year while I try to get back on my feet.

The WALK 360 shoes are Rockport’s most biomechanically engineered walking shoe ever. They’ve taken the Rockport DNA:

and infused the shoes with form fit and climate control, providing 360 degree performance and comfort.

In trying these shoes on I have to say that these shoes were VERY comfortable and I could tell from the very beginning that they provided my feet with the support (or foot in this case) with the support that I knew that I would need right now. I tried out the shoes with Jeans and semi-dress pants and they work in any situation. Best of all though was the feel and the look, which was casual, but sleek. I can tell that I could walk in these shoes for a long time and still feel comfortable.

This is important to me whether I have a broken ankle or not, as even in my professional life I do a lot of standing and walking, and because of this I need something that will not put undue pressure on my lower back and these definitely did not do this, and instead, I felt ultimately supported, which was perfect.

Once I get back on my feet I am planning to really put these shoes through a urban adventure roadtrip, but that will not be for a few months due to my ankle. In the meantime though I will still be using these to support my healing and look good in the meantime.

Rockport Offers Shoes For A Great Guys Night Out #Giveaway #RockportChallenge

When I think casual, I usually think tennis shoes; that was until recently. As a person who enjoys dressing well, wearing tennis shoes for casual events works at times, but not always. As most of my readers know I have been working with Rockport recently and though as you saw in my last post, I was impressed with their dress shoes, I can say that I did not know that they had more casual shoes until a few weeks back. At this time, Rockport asked me to take on a challenge and try out a pair of their more casual styles from their Fall/Winter ’14 collection.

I received a pair of their Parker Hill Desert Boot. From the beginning I really liked the color. I was a bit skeptical at first about how I would like the boot cut of the shoes, but as I wore them I got more used to this and I found them to be comfortable and the additional ankle support was nice too.

In wearing these shoes I found that they could be worn with anything from jeans to dress slacks. This was something that I would not have normally expected, but I was happy to find that this was the case.  There definitely were a few other shoes from the collection that looked The shoes were comfortable and with the fact that they were equipped with sport technology, it did feel like I was still wearing a tennis/running shoe which was a nice change.

There were definitely a few other shoes from the collection that looked fun. Though I did not try them, I liked the style and color of the Ledge Hill 2 Plaintoe Oxford and the blue coloring of the Parker Hill Captoe Oxford was so unique, I would be interested to see how they would look on me, as it was hard to imagine just looking at them in a picture.

In the end for me what I love most is that these shoes can go with pretty much anything I can think of (well… maybe not shorts). Rockport Shoes Offer Style & Comfort #RockportChallenge

I was recently asked by Rockport shoes to become a part of their inner circle. What this means is that over the next year I will be sporting some new shoes to try out and give you a taste of what Rockport has to offer you as a customer. For the first shoe that I was able to try as a part of this program I was given the Total Motion Moc Toe in Coach Brown. 

 

One question that I must ask each of you is whether you are the type of person that dresses up for work? If you do, are you on your feet a lot each day? If you answered yes to both of these, answer the final question, which is How do your feet feel by the end of the day? For me, I wear dress shoes daily and I do a lot of standing and walking around. By the end of the day my feet are exhausted and so am I. This is especially true when I am at events where I am forced to stand on hard floors for long periods of time. I find myself shifting from foot to foot trying to get comfortable, but only ending up more uncomfortable in the end.

With this in mind I chose to take the #RockportChallenge and try these shoes and compare them to my sneakers. Rockport claims that their shoes are as comfortable as your sneakers are, and I have to say, in starting this challenge that this would definitely be a first for me if the shoes were this comfortable. So, let me fast forward now. I decided to wear these new shoes religiously for a few days at work. I had a number of events where I was standing and walking and I contrasted these to my sneakers on another day. I have to be blunt and say that I did not honestly notice much of a difference at all between wearing these shoes and tennis shoes they were that comfortable. At the end of the day after wearing the Rockport shoes my feet were not tired, and instead they felt well supported and in complete comfort. This was really a shock for me because I was not expecting this at all.

 

I also was able to select ask someone to try out the same show that I tried. This go around I asked CC Chapman (http://www.cc-chapman.com/) to give it a go and see what he thought! Below is his reaction:

“I try to wear dress shoes as little as possible. So, when I do they need to be comfortable and something I can wear all day and forget about them. I had never word Rockports before and I liked their fit and feel. These new shoes are definitely ones I won’t mind wearing in the future.” – CC Chapman

 

In researching Rockport Shoes more, I came to find that one of the reasons my feet were feeling as good as they were was that all Rockport shoes are equipped with ADIPRENE by adidas sport technology , making their dress shoes feel like a pair of running shoes.  One of the other things that was amazing was how these shoes looked because they were definitely dress shoes, not semi-dress, but true dress. I have wished in the past that I could sneak my sneakers into work, but with the fact that I have to wear suits everyday it is an expectation to look my best which means no sneakers. With all this said, comfort is key and after wearing these Rockport shoes I have to say that they definitely deliver.
