During the Summer I love to have people over to grill out, enjoy some music and just relax. However, as I get people together I also want to have some great music to go with the get together and recently I decided to pick up the new Altec Lansing Rockbox XL Waterproof Bluetooth Portable Speaker.

When I was looking for a new speaker I have to say that I was impressed by the fact that the Rochbox has up to a 20 hour charge. Not that I will need that for one party, but once I started using it I found that it would last for a long time and I really did not have to charge it for a while. This saved me time, and money for not having to charge it constantly.

I love the sound that I get from the Altec Lansing Rockbox XL. You get 50 Watts of bass, but even better, you can control the sound easily and get the volume and sound that you want no matter what you want to play. I tested it out with my spotify playlist and it sounded great!

On top of great sound this speaker is also a great addition to the party. There are 5 LED light modes that either illuminate the light directly or pulse with the music which you are playing. This really can make the party pop, especially after the sun goes down.

Altec Rockbox XL

I have yet to try this yet, but the speaker is also waterproof and will float upright in water. I will definitely need to bring this speaker with me to try this out the next time that I am around a pool!

While I only bought one speaker, the technology with this speaker allows you to pair up to 50 compatible speakers together to create a sound experience that no one will forget. After seeing how well this one works, I would have no issue with getting more for the future.

What I Think

As anyone that has read my blog before knows, I love technology and I love things that make my life easier. Having a speaker that learns about me, what I like to listen to and more is simply amazing. I have never seen or experienced a music player like this before. It is SO portable and can be used either with or without a wire plugging it in too.

This time of year we are on the move a lot. Going to visit family, friends and more and at many of these events music is definitely a part of the gathering. On a few occasions already I have brought the music player with me to show it off to others, and the reaction always has been one of awe. They cannot believe that a music player can do all of this.
