November Unlocked Savings Event at Best Buy

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free

When I am looking for a new phone usually these days I am looking for an unlocked phone. Why? Unlocked phones are becoming a popular choice here in the U.S. because nothing beats the freedom of an unlocked phone when it comes to choice of models, carriers or plans.

Gone are the days of feeling stuck or trapped as with an unlocked phone you are not tied to a specific carrier or contract. Therefore, you have the freedom to shop for the latest phones and plans as often — or as infrequently — as you like. And when it comes to international travel, unlocked phones can’t be beat.

Are you looking for a new phone? Have you looked into an unlocked phone yourself? Best Buy has an Unlocked Smartphone savings event going on right now with sales on Samsung, Huawei, Moto, Sony, BLU, Alcatel and ZTE smartphones.

Here are some of the largest benefits of Unlocked Phones I have found:

  • They offer freedom and flexibility from carriers and contracts

Summer On-The-Go with TV Everywhere!

TV-Everywhere

Summer is here and this is the perfect opportunity to catch up on all our favorite TV programs, especially while on-the-go! TV Everywhere is here to remind you that you could be watching TV through your smartphone, tablet or PC anywhere you go!

TV Everywhere is a multi-device viewing experience offered to verified TV service provider customers through websites and apps, included with your subscription.

I had never heard of TV Everwhere before, but have to say that as a parent, you and I both now how busy life can get. We are on-the-go, we take car trips, travel to kids sports, etc, and sometimes that means that you will miss some of your favorite shows. TV Everywhere gives you the ability to control how and where you watch your TV. In going though the service I found that it was very easy to use and best of all they are working with so many of the BIG cable providers to offer you an add-on to your service at no additional cost to you!

I did a bit more research on the program and found a few more benefits that included:

The Benefits of TV Everywhere:

  • TV Everywhere is here to remind you that you could be watching TV through your smartphone, tablet laptop, on-the-go or at home. Anywhere you go!
  • View your favorite shows, news, sports and events
  • Watch live and later – including full-length, next-day episodes
  • Catch programs you might otherwise miss
  • The TVE experience is a benefit of being a customer
  • Won’t miss an episode; convenience and freedom
  • Ability to watch live or downloaded content
  • Available in and out of the home
  • Secure sign in to watch

TV-Everywhere

Highly desired features:

  • Variety of content available
  • Past and current seasons
  • Start, stop, rewind
  • Resume watching across multiple devices
  • Build a personal queue/watch list
  • Automatically play the next episode in the series

“A study from HUB Research earlier this year, commissioned by Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), indicates more than half of pay-TV subscribers are unaware of the features and capabilities of TV Everywhere, and nearly 60%  have never taken advantage of the  service, which is provided at no additional cost,” said John Lansing, President and CEO, CTAM. “Yet viewers who watch TV on non-linear devices feel the value of their cable subscription is significantly higher.”

I know with my own experience this summer with soccer camps and tennis practice, I do a lot of sitting around while watching or waiting for the kids, with that in mind, all of these benefits were ones that tipped the scales for me to try this out and I loved how convenient this was and how easy it was to be able to now connect and watch some awesome shows while waiting around.

If this sounds like something that would help you, check it out TV Everywhere yourself, I mean it’s free – what a better cost, right?

About the Product

Recently, Texas Instruments (TI) (NYSE: TXN) DLP® Products and Brookstone announced the availability of the iPhone 4/4S miniature projector accessory case which includes TI’s DLP® Pico™ projector technology. As the first projector of its kind, the accessory acts as a thin sleeve that will allow iPhone 4 and 4S users to project video content from their phone or any app that allows for video output such as Netflix®, YouTube® and more on to any surface at a size of up to 50 inches. With this iPhone accessory case, DLP and Brookstone are showcasing the potential future of Pico as add-on or embedded within products, giving mobile phone users the power to show video content on-the-go, anywhere.
“With this accessory case, Texas Instruments DLP Pico technology continues to show incredible flexibility in enabling compelling applications of all shapes,” said Frank J. Moizio, manager of DLP Pico Projection. “This is just the first step in giving consumers the ability to

Building on DLP’s foundation of creating the best images in the world, DLP’s Pico chipsets have the same technology genetics as leading digital cinema projectors. The entire DLP Pico family of chipsets offers solutions for creating an ever-growing array of product applications, including embedded cell phones, cameras, and camcorders, mobile projectors for consumer entertainment, notebook companions for mobile warriors, toys, AV docks for iPhone, iPad, iPod devices and other compatible smartphones, and more.
“The partnership between Brookstone and Texas Instruments resulted in a remarkable accessory case that turns one’s iPhone 4 and 4S player into a mobile home-theater unit,” said Ron Boire, President and CEO of Brookstone. “Brookstone’s mission is to find smarter, better ways for people to do the things they love, and the Pocket Projector for iPhone 4 embodies that spirit by marrying great technology with entertainment,” added Boire.
