Three Great Lenses for Awesome Mobile Photography

As a photographer, there are times when I am on the go and may not have all of my camera equipment with me. However, I do have my cell phone with me. With so many cell phones now having such high resolution lenses, I have always thought how nice it would be to have a cell phone that had the ability to either have multiple lens attachments, or have a lens with more zoom capabilities.

While the technology is not there for that (at least not that I have found yet), YOPO has developed this great new accessory that can be used with Smart phones, iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Android tablets. The idea with this is that you have a clip on device with a lens holder at the end. You then can screw in the lens at the end. The YOPO device comes with three lenses: A wide angle lens that expands the native viewing angle by 4X,it can enlarge 75 percent of the vision; A Macro lens and a Fish-eye lens. One thing to note: the macro and fish eye lens are screwed together,which used for fish-eye function. while the small lens that print Macro is macro lens (so do not be alarmed when you find only two lenses in the box – or so it seems).

I tried out all of the lenses and found them to be powerful. I did find that you do need to get very close to get a great macro shot. The people at YOPO say that you should keep 1cm distance from the shooting object as if you are too far away the object being photographed will lose its’ definition.
