Picture a conference where you get to meet a bunch of dads that are doing an amazing job at raising their kids. This is a conference that is different than others that I have attended, but it is one that I found myself coming back to again for the second year and I know that I will be there again in 2015.
Why do I keep coming back? Is it the dads I get to meet? Is it the amazing brands that have partnered with the conference to reach out to dads like me? Is it the opportunity to reconnect, learn and do more? It is a bit of all of this.
Never before have I learned more from dads that are willing to share their experiences or seen dads being willing to be vulnerable and bearing their fears. This alone would have been enough, but beyond that we were able to meet with and learn about so many great brands over the last two years too that simply want to get to know us as dads and what matters to us. It is not them trying to “sell” us, but instead a conversation and a learning process for both brand and blogger.
I met so many great bloggers and dads at this conference. One such dad that simply brought the house down was Lorne Jaffe of http://
For me I have to say thank you to all of the amazing sponsors from the conference. Whether it was Lee Jeans getting us looking our best, Dove Men + Care giving us a haircut and a shave, Cottonelle giving us a new look at our posteriors, National Geographic Animal Jam getting us up close and personal with furry friends or even Jamba Juice and Starbucks for getting us thoroughly energized, these and so many more were so willing to get to know me as a person and were willing to have fun with us too!
Take all of this and bring us to a great city with amazing food, music, art, architecture and so so much more. I am so glad that I attended the Dad 2.0 Summit for these and many other reasons and I am planning on being at the next conference too and so should you!
