My kids have been wanting an electric scooter for some time and this holiday season the Razor Power A5 was definitely on the top of their list. That being said I had the chance to try our this scooter for myself (and I let my kids also try it as well, and we all were very impressed).
Why was I interested in the Razor Power A5? For us, this was the right speed for my girls, especially for my youngest. This scooter is made for ages 8 and up and it does not take too much to get up to speed and to hold the speed when you are going. You need to kick off first and as the instructions say, you need to be up to about 3 MPG to then use the throttle. It does not take much to get up to speed and then you can coast around with ease.
The scooter does have a brake as well that you can control with the heel of your foot, but you also can take your hand off the throttle and coast to a stop too.
