My Take on the Movie

This was an amazing movie that lets you get to meet some of the remarkable animals from China. From beginning to end you get brought through a beautiful world that simply is breath taking. Not only are the animals amazing but so are the vistas.

You get to see so many animals being so maternal in so many ways. There are a ton of heart-warming moments throughout the film that will keep you moving forward as you go through the film.

The film is definitely family oriented and allows you to see both life and death, the power of and the beauty of nature all in one great film.

Disney Neture continues to do an amazing job at capturing the world around us on planet Earth and you can tell that they spend so much time making the film in a painstaking way to get the best quality that they can to share you as the viewer only the best.

Born in China – Opening In Theaters Everywhere This Friday!

I am so excited that Disneynature’s BORN IN CHINA opens in theatres everywhere this Friday! My favorite part about this film is that moviegoers who see Disneynature’s new True Life Adventure film BORN IN CHINA during its opening week (April 21-27, 2017) will benefit the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Based on opening-week attendance, Disneynature, via the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, will make a contribution to the WWF to help protect wild pandas and snow leopards in China.

I also wanted to share with you an adorable video of BORN IN CHINA narrator John Krasinski freaking out over the adorable baby animals in the film:

My Take on the Movie

My daughter loves monkeys. Ever since she found a stuffed monkey at a garage sale and basically walked away with it, she was hooked, so I knew that it was only a matter of time until we saw this movie as a family, and now I can say that we own it!

We have loved watching Disney Nature films in the past and are always so impressed by the care that they take and the unprecedented access that they get when it comes to the animals that they follow. This was the case in this film too.

We were continually amazed at how well the movie captured the world within the Monkey Kingdom and the narration really helped to explain what we were seeing and emotionally ties us to the story and what Maya was trying to do to keep Kip alive. You end up rooting for her the entire way through!

One of the other monkeys that my girls loved in this was Grandpa, I mean, what a character!

This was a very well made movie that truly transports you into the world of the Monkey Kingdom. You and your family will love it!

Disneynature and Tina Fey celebrate Monkey Kingdom with Special Screening in NYC

Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,” Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya’s whole family is forced to relocate, and she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to lead them to untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.
