The 4 Way Test – Will It Bring Goodwill and Better Friendships?

October 15, 2008 by dadofdivas 2 Comments

There are so many times where I have questioned the intentions of others, where I felt that they were more interested in doing things for themselves than thinking of others around them.

It is sad that our society has at times the “me” attitude. In businesss and in life we have to work hard to have the strong relationships that we all strive for. One way that will assist everyone wih accomplishing this goal is if we are consistently building goodwill and better friendships by doing things for people that advance these values.

So what does this mean? What does builging goodwill mean to you?

In researching this myself I came to find a few great resources that I thought all of my readers would benefit from. These resources do a wonderful job at both defining and providing valuable inight into building goodwill in and outside of business and also provide parents with some ideas into what they should be trying to incorporate into their repoitoire.

  • Build Goodwill to Build Your Future
  • Building Goodwill – 1
  • Building Goodwill – 2

So find ways to incorporate and teach goodwill to your children and emulate this to your colleagues and practice it wil your clients…you will not regret it!

Interestingly, I just made a post last night about someone in my life many years ago who had a tremendous impact on me by the way she treated me: http://thebwildecolumn.blogspot.com/2008/09/miss-addie.html

Your subject is one that needs more attention. I’m glad you addressed the “me” issue. More awareness is needed for us to get outside of ourselves and begin thinking and reaching out to others.

I love this post! I’m constantly thinking of others and the good it will bring. However, through my volunteer groups, I’ve had to build up another thought process. How are others going to receive this, and what negative throws people will bring. It’s amazing how good willed and moral people have a different view on what is good and moral.

I think it’s still needs an awareness! Thank you for the links!
