As I said in my earlier post about shopping for holiday lights, I purchased about 5 strands of lights on Black Friday (yes I got up that early).
Luckily on the same day we were having a bit of an Indian Summer experience with temperatures in the 60’s which is completely abnormal for weather in Michigan in late November, but perfect weather for setting up Christmas lights and not freezing my tail off!
So when I got home (and after a bit of a resting period) I began pulling out the Christmas decorations and figuring out what I would want to put outside (outside of the items I had already purchased from Sears). As I started to pull them out and starting installing them, I found that I could really use more lights that I had initially purchased. I still moved forward, but I did wish that I could have more.
Installation of the lights was easy and I loved the handy light reel that they came on as it made for easy unraveling and I am sure it will make it that much more easy to take the lights down too. Putting together the snoopy that I purchased at Sears was also easy, though I found that I needed something heavier than the small stakes that we received in the box to hold it down in the wind that we sometimes get at our house.
As I finished hanging a wreath and some garland on the outside of my house the sun was just starting to set so I was excited to try out the lights to see how it all looked. I knew that I was a bit short on lights (at least in my perspective) but I continued with vigor and knew that it would look great. As the sun dipped below the horizon I synchronized our timers and turned on the lights and found that the lights looked quite good. I still would have liked to have had more lights, but with what I had it looked very good and the family agreed.
Seeing that I did think we needed more lights I did go back to the Sears Holiday Shop the next day and found that they were out of the warm white lights (Bummer)! Luckily though I found that they were offering the same lights online with free shipping for the same cost!
All-in-all I was so glad to have the opportunity to shop at Sears for my holiday lights this season. I have never used their holiday shop in the past but seeing the breadth and depth of lights and the competitive pricing that they offer I will be sure to return in the future!
I have shared photos of my initial shopping experience at Sears here in my Google+ Account!
